    Hi everyone!
    I know, long time no see.... Im so sorry for that, have been so busy with work that barely have the time for any editing!
    I will hopefully be able to get more content with a smaller interval!
    For now hope you guys like it! Specially the last little bit :D

      Cristiano7 Pravi it didn't lag for me and I watched it minutes after it went live. Don't forget that he records that 60fps and if you're watching it at 720p+ that might stutter the video for you.

    Good to see you back mate, had some good news while you were busy. I was lucky enough to finally get my third transplant almost seven weeks ago. No more dialysis for, hopefully a long time, as long as things stay at least as good as they are now. Thought you might like to know.
    I'm also now selling my bike so should not be long until I'm finally on a big bike 👍

    As someone who's held a M/cycle license for 55 years and come off eleven times (so far) I'd recommend that you adopt a slightly more defensive style of driving in traffic, i know these cams with their wide-angle lenses give the impression of a faster speed but it appears that you over-commit yourself a little too often and the odds are against you getting away with it indefinitely.. someone WILL open a car door on you one day that's a certainty, probably a passenger impatient to get to their office a hundred yds down the road. "I'll just jump out here"...

    I drive in London most days and have no animosity towards our 2-wheeled friends. My only comment is that revving the engine as a warning is not always audible in a car. Don’t rely on it - other than for pedestrians or cyclists.

    1 - BMW drivers
    2 - White van man &
    3 - Women on the school run.

    Great quality, lovely intro. And I know you didn’t ask for feedback and I haven’t edited or made a vid like these before. I have one tiny criticism, it’s the font used at the start of each clip. It’s just a little too hard to read fast as it isn’t very clear. It’s just a font issue. The size is perfect. Maybe it’s just me. But I find it hard to read it quickly. I watch a lot of bike blogs and yours is the only one I have found the little titles hard to read.

    01:05 That taxi just commited a motoring offence under dangerous driving law. Highway code" you may NOT proceed if a person is on the crossing or attempting to use the crossing". With flashing ambers you cant go anyway unless people are well clear!

    • @TheMcal9909
      @TheMcal9909 Před 6 lety +3

      IF everyone followed the highway code in London no one would get anywhere.. You have to drive aggressive in most areas. Like the Bus that pulled out on him. That would be sat there for 20mins before getting a space to pull out.

    • @MrTemjin
      @MrTemjin  Před 6 lety +3

      To be fair, until you have ridden in London, you dont really understand what a jungle it is. Want to get home? You need to ignore quite a few rules. Even police will close their eyes to 90% of the offences as long is its not dangerous driving or life threatening.

    • @TheMcal9909
      @TheMcal9909 Před 6 lety +1

      Although its a fine line between the two, i think there is a difference between aggressive driving and breaking the law. If you would like to get technical yes rules were broken. But what was done most people will find it acceptable to do.

    • @nonenone3898
      @nonenone3898 Před 6 lety

      The highway code is simply that a set of codes NOT rules. they are suggestions on how to drive. If you break the code and an accident results the highway code breach could be used to demonstrate you were not using best practice when the accident happened.

    That's exactly how I rode around cities in my time on bikes. In 14 years I never had an accident in traffic. It's on the open road where the drivers try to kill you. These days I often make a gap for bikers and sometimes get a friendly wave for it.

    That's THE WORST font for video captions. WTF were you thinking? I'm a fast reader, but on a mobile phone I literally had to stop the vid to read every one, and even then some were unreadable. Eventually have up. Try thinking about the viewer.

    • @MrTemjin

      I cannot think about the viewer, when the viewer doesnt give feedback. I probably had half a million + views and noone has ever told me about the font being bad. I had two comments on this video about that (including yours), so Ill take it on board and change the font for something clearer, and im not being ironic, I do appreciate the feedback, in the end these videos are for you and the others viewers, thank you.

      Try testing your vids on small devices. It's not easy to get right. Dark script works on light backgrounds but fails on dark backgrounds, and vice versa.
      " I probably had half a million + views and noone has ever told me about the font being bad."
      That suggests to me that most people aren't really paying attention to the on screen captions.
      " I had two comments on this video about that (including yours), so Ill take it on board and change the font for something clearer, and im not being ironic, I do appreciate the feedback, in the end these videos are for you and the others viewers, thank you."
      That's a great response bro. Much appreciated. I was hoping to help. It's great that you took it that way. I'm impatient when I confront inadequate communications. As a self trained graphic designer, I've always put a lot of effort into making text clear and readable. It's a process. Except for their use of grey type, Apple's ads are by far the best in this regard. Their late '90s and early 2000s ads are the best though.
      Good luck with your rework.

    Is it just me or people in the UK have forgotten what blinkers are for? I've been here for a while and seldom I see people using their blinkers when changing lanes, roundabouts, crossings etc... Does traffic just works on assumptions basis? The exception are motorcyclists because they understand the dangers and consequences like no one else.

    • @MrTemjin
      @MrTemjin  Před 6 lety

      To be honest, even us motorcyclists dont signal much WITHIN London, there are so many traffic changes and variations that its rare for anyone to indicate or do something when changing lanes.

  • @Bobrogers99

    Squeezing between two lanes of traffic strikes me as dangerous, and I wonder how much of it is legal. You can't expect that the cars will be fixated on their mirrors to know that you're there.

    • @Mr.Grimsdale
      @Mr.Grimsdale Před 5 lety

      It's pefectly legal and makes commonsense, it reduces the lines of traffic thus people get to destination quicker.

    • @AnotherHerring
      @AnotherHerring Před 5 lety

      It's all legal. In general, the advice is to keep to within about 10mph of the traffic speed (so 10 mph through stationary traffic, 15-20 if it's just rolling along). There are a few places where he went that I wouldn't (now, did on a pushbike when I was younger and dafter), particularly the one between bus and big truck (nowhere to escape to if one or other starts moving and closing the gap). Also you need to be aware that pedestrians can (equally legally) be crossing the road and therefore be very careful when your sightlines are obstructed.

      @@youareslick It marks the box for an advanced stop line for cyclists. The OP has partially crossed the vehicle stop line (which is legal if the lights change to red while you are waiting there, not otherwise, but he's only a bit over and causing no problems; a cyclist could still filter in up beside him and indeed in front of him ).

    • @youareslick
      @youareslick Před 5 lety

      @@AnotherHerring I don't think he has partially crossed the line, he has wholly crossed it. The lights didn't change after he crossed it, and its not the point that a cyclist could fit alongside him, he shouldn't be there.

  • @jeffreyfearn5662

    You say you rev as a warning, but to car drivers it sounds more like a threat that they should move out of your way.... especially as you're riding between the lanes, to get pass the traffic. I see you also overtake on the zig zag of a crossing but it is not allowed in the highway code.
