Boba is older, more experience and grew up during a more dangerous period in the galaxy. Lets face it the Clone Wars Era was way more hostile then the Empire era not the least bit because Clone Troopers were vastly superior fighters than Stormtroopers and that's to say nothing of the Jedi.

He has only had it for a relatively short time and even gave up the armor to infiltrate the Emp Base where he single handedly fought off dozens of raiders on top of a Juggernaut (with storm trooper armor 🤮) and then fought his way through dozens of storm troopers to get back to Slave 1. Din also fought the mud horn with basic armor, fought numerous assailants along side IG-11 right before getting "The Child" and then fought his way back to his ship, against multiple assailants trying to take the child from him.
I think Din got a little off balance when he met Bo Katan and most of his beliefs were shaken.... But we will see how he balances out after completing his quest and becoming Mandalore, if even for a short time.

quick comment @ Generation Tech at 08:35, I think you may have forgotten about Din's fight in the tanker stormtrooper armor on Morag (Season 2 Episode 9). Din wasn't wearing his gear when he was trying to go under cover and managed to fend off a lot of those pirates by himself. He did get beat up a lot in that episode, if it wasn't for those tie fighters the mission would've been over. However he managed to fend the tanker from 20+ enemy hostiles. I have a feeling Boba wouldn't have been able to pull off that feat in his current state. Anyway thanks for the amazing content!

I just look at the staff fighting skills.
Din Djarin, with the beskar spear, took out a Dark Trooper. This is not a simple feat, he had to find a weakness to this beast of a war machine and exploit it, while it was pummeling him.
But, he fought an untrained Imperial Warlord using a lightsaber and it took him a while to finally disarm and defeat him. Untrained. This guy probably practiced with it himself, and TRIED to train, but it was obvious he wasn't a great fighter, and not a great duelist / sword fighter.
Now I compare this to Boba fighting with his gaffi stick. He wrecks face with that thing. In my opinion, if it had been him fighting the Dark Trooper, he would have dismantled it in seconds, and would have killed Moff Gideon in less time.
Fett is just older, more experienced, more skilled... and he's also had ties to fates and scenarios that are more dangerous than the times Din Djarin lives in.

  • @aaroneclipse514
    @aaroneclipse514 Před 2 lety +3

Wow, he mispronounces Jaster's name and Grogu's name in the video.
Objectively speaking, Din Djarin is the better fighter:
Boba (excluding the comics since I don't read them) has really been seen in his adult age taking on weak stormtroopers, but he did almost lose a fight to Koska Reeves.
I recall that the only fight that Din had lost was the Mudhorn fight, electricity, big tough brutes, or a fight involving underwater. He defeated a Dark Trooper, Gideon, can hold his own against multiple Stormtroopers, defeated multiple enemies when cornered or imprisoned, defeated so many bounty hunters, and he has more gear than Boba.
Boba has less armor on him than Din, thus giving him weaknesses to be exploited. He humiliatingly almost died to a blind man with a stick, at his teenage age he almost died to Ventress, but he can defeat multiple stormtroopers with a Gaffi stick, and with his armor, he can take on on a platoon of stormtroopers. His messed-up armor indicates that he has been on deadly missions, so he definitely can handle himself in a fight. I'm not sure how Boba can handle a fight with Ahsoka in the show seeing as how Din needed his armor to protect his limbs from being sliced.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Boba's armor made of dura-steel and not beskar? If it was made of Beskar how could he have dents on his armor? If that's the case then Boba would rely on his jet-pack to keep himself safe against a Jedi, whereas Din just needs his armor and gear.
Din is a better fighter though Boba may have more experience, Din has better skills.
(Keep in mind this is my assessment from the shows and movies and NOT the comics)

I think you’re completely wrong.. Realistically (in canon) they can’t be compared, Mando’s more like just an average/good Bounty Hunter.. his name isn’t in the galaxy in the same way as Boba’s.. and I get that from what we’ve seen Boba doesn’t come across as the greatest fighter but we haven’t seen his life.. what we know is that he’s referred to as the best, most deadliest Bounty Hunter in the galaxy.. his name is literally known by Luke, Vader, the empire, the top/largest bounty hunters, contractors etc.. and from what we know, Mando’s relatively unknown.. the ones that do know him for example, Luke, Ahsoka etc know him for who he’s travelling with (Grogu) not who he is!
I think it comes down to that. While he is a Mandalorian, his profession is Bounty Hunting.. and if you say he’s better then the best of the best, his name would’ve been out there! He’d been known for how deadly he is, not how deadly his companion is!

7:57 Actually, this is a result of his actor being twice his age. During the battle of Carkoon, Boba Fett is canonically 36 years old, and this takes place not very long after that. He's not in his prime, but he's not *old* either.

I would have said Boba by far, but after watching the first episode of the book of fett I’m changing my mind. Boba got his ass kicked by these nobody’s with red shields. In fact if it wasn’t for the green guys coming to his rescue he might have died.

True but that’s simply down to the after affects of the sarlacc.. which is why we see him in Bacta, if it’s a permanent affect then yeah, it’ll definitely change his reputation!

Well I like the Mando, got to give it to the OG Bounty Hunter. I don’t know if Disney reccon this yet, but he was able to duel with Darth Vader and battle him to a standstill, while I know they reccon this he was the leader of a third party galactic power I believe.

Fighting wise both are pretty good, but Boba is better...even if they were the same age.
The better hero is Din Djarin.
Overall I don´t think they would fight, but if they had to, I know that Boba would win in a 1v1.
However, in a realistic skirmish Din Djarin would win, because he has more friends and because mercy can be a good strenght.
And Din Djarin has that strenght.
    Edit:
I actually don´t really like how overpowered Din Djarin is, I actually only want him to have the pulse rifle, that jetpack, one blaster pistol and the beskar spear. I don´t think adding the dark-saber makes sense for his fighting style, and also not thematically. Why would he receive the spear, when he won´t use it, because he has the dark saber.
Also I would like for him to be more of a tactical fighter and less of a tank.
Boba should be a tank, after being in the sarlacc he became less fast and more enduring and patient.
He also has the flame-thrower and all the cool gadgets of his armor, so him being the high tech slower fighter that is less stealthy makes more sense for me.
Also would pair up with his pair-bounty hunter, who she helps him, because she to my knowledge is also more stealth oriented.
Lastly I think having Din Djarin be more reliant on simpler tech would mirror the more western feal of the show, where´s book of boba fett is like the sopranos or the godfather in space, where a use of less crude technology would make more sense.
Edit 2: Don´t tell me Boba could beat Din Djarin. Yeah, him alone yes with the "borderline Jedi power". But Din Djarin literally knows the probably strongest jedi still alive (confirmed) that was still in the old order, Ahsoka Tano. She could beat Fett.
