Deena, for someone who was unmotivated, you sure produced a beautiful refresh! You have such nice and unique decor items to use in your home, which helps make a space your own. Making a bed is very important! Just like you, I pay attention to the details, symmetry and I cannot bear creases. I do that every day as I relish the moment I slide in my perfectly made bed 😊. I am so pleased to have found a kindred spirit!

Hi Deena - Thank you so much for this video. Never doubt that it is very much appreciated by us. A Tuesday without Deena is like a Tuesday without sunshine. However I know that we all need rest and I want you to take it whenever you need it and be assured that we will be here waiting for you when you get back. I am really unmotivated too. I am feeling so good and so energetic after months and months of feeling so terrible but I can’t seem to harness that energy into doing things I need to do in the house. This morning after the pool I had my car inspected and got new license tags and did a bunch of other errands and I was so thankful for the energy I had to do those things. Now I’m home and watching your video and seeing how luscious your bedroom looks. I just don’t get motivated to do more than the basics in the house. It is so burning hot here in Texas and I keep hoping that I’ll get some motivation when the weather gets cooler. We haven’t had a drop of rain in a long time either. I love how you did your bedroom and the bed looks so neat and inviting. It’s worth the extra effort to make it look that way I think. Love in Christ dear friend.

I have been so uninspired to even keep up with my cleaning and I feel like my whole world is just a mess, sometimes you just need to hear someone say it's okay to give yourself grace, and for that I thank you. My mama taught me how to make my bed everyday and I still do! I make my bed just like you😊 She said even if the room was messy it looks neater if the bed is made! I am teaching my granddaughters to make it a habit❣️

You did a beautiful job as ususal but my favorite of all was the bust with the pearls. It adds a bit of whimsy while also adding class to the room. I'm a girly-girl so those pearls were right up my alley! I recently moved a curio cabinet into our bedroom and "decorated" the inside with my jewelry pieces..... just inexpensive costume pieces but they look so nice! I havea "props" in the form of bracelet, necklace and ring holders from Amazon and also added a glass cake plate, a gorgous vase, a french theme aed purse and other things. I'm happy with how it turned out but it will be a piece I will change and re-decorate often. I understand what you mean about giving yourself grace and hope you continue to pace yourself a bit to accomplish that in your life. As always, I look forward each week to your videos. Deena this hot summer heat has wiped us all out. It’s horrible trying to run errands. Gardening is not really happening for me right now with the drought here in Texas. My plants are burned to a crisp. Fall is my favorite season and I can’t wait for the cooler temps. I still have my Patriotic decor up and will decorate for Fall when I’m really in the mood to decorate. I know you have a channel and must provide content but I enjoy your videos on cooking, cleaning, shopping whatever! Don’t feel pressured to just decorate. My Lord and My God what a blessing and a gift you are to us all. You power through no matter what. Please remember self care, I struggle with taking time for myself. I am forever taking care of others and put myself last. As I am approaching the 62 year mark, I realize that I must slow down and invest in me with some me time. If that makes any since. I give and give and give to my family and others and sometimes I get to a point that I am so empty. I am learning at 62 that I must be still and exercise self care and allow myself to be replenish. Hey there sweet Deena please take the time to care for yourself. There are days that I truly struggle to decorate finish up something that needs to be done. I will take time for myself more often than not. Ever since my heart attack and health scare I tend to myself much more now. My doctors and husband encourages me. Hospital corners how I remember my MoM teaching my sister and I this technique. Also when I worked as an aide in the many Nursing Homes!!!!! Also to have a pretty side and not so pretty side lol!!!! This summer has definitely been a trying one because of the extreme heat. I am just over it cooler temps could show up anytime and rejuvenate everyone!!!! I am retired and a senior. I often forget and feel.I need to be productive and motivated everyday. Then I remember its ok to sit, relax, refresh , be retired. But this can be for everyone even if only for a short while.

When I feel the way you’re feeling now…I get up before six am do my daily personal routine in the bathroom….pray and present to God a fasting period that will last until six pm …during the day I do not attempt to do anything extra…I limit only to cook for my husband ,light home tidings and that’s it…
I read the Bible …specifically passages related to discouragement in some Biblical characters dealing with tiring situations over and over,like Gedeon and the madianites….or Isaac and the repeated well drilling because of the enemy…stories that somehow relate to the lack of motivation or discouragement that I might be facing in that specific time…..
I assure to you that the next day I feel a lot better than the day before….

Your redo is so pretty, Deena, as always. My favorite is the side table with the “lady”. So romantic that your husband made you a love note book. So thoughtful of him and proof that he loves you very much. Also, you gave me a wonderful tip with the pillowcases. Love how you folded the end of the pillowcase into the pillow to make it fit. I feel decorating should never be a struggle or that you need motivation. Decorating to me is a creative process that just comes to you. Being a blogger requires you to keep producing content. That is not what decorating should be. I love to decorate, its my passion. But if I had to keep doing it on a schedule, I am sure it would lose its ability to excite and inspire me. Just let it happen. When it doesn't, then do a garden video or make a recipe and share that.
I have found over the years that I go through these little phases about tail end a year, even before CZcams. So, maybe it’s just me and my thought process. But, I am feeling a little more inspired this week so hopefully it is coming to an end. Thank you for your suggestions I do appreciate them so very much. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Good morning, Deena. For someone who wasn't feeling inspired/motivated, you did a beautiful job as usual. My motivation went out the window with the onset of the pandemic, and I haven't been able to get my groove back since. I've always believed that you should never put off until tomorrow what you can do today. A regular routine no longer exists; I do things when the mood strikes me. My daughter says I'm living willy-nilly. I love the little love letter book your husband gave you. Back in 1987 when my daughter went to Europe with the school band, I went along as a tagalong. My son was away at college, so my husband was home alone. My husband kept a journal during the time we were away expressing what he was feeling to be without us. He presented it to me at a romantic dinner at a lovely restaurant a couple of nights after our return. It was a beautiful expression of love, and I cherish it all the more now that he is gone. I get weepy every time I think of it...like now. But...everybody gets burned out once in a while. Even God took a rest. Maybe you just need a short respite to well...refresh. The bedroom refresh is just beautiful. I also get burned out at times. Usually I will make me a cup of tea or coffee and a get one of my favorite decorating books put on some great music and by the time I look through it I am excited to to spruce things up and rearrange a few things.
