I've been in vehicles already where you can see the speedo on the windshield so you don't need to look down. I used to detail(clean) new vehicles are something else these days. First time in a hybrid I sat there like an idiot wondering why it wasn't starting.

Actually, Ghost Games decided to put the Mustang in Rivals before the movie was released to the public. It was promoted for the upcoming NFS Movie in 2014. A year later, the Mustang appeared in the movie and people are revisiting Rivals and have driven this Mustang.
I really don't know why people dislike this movie apart from it being a box office bomb and some minor unrealistic parts. I personally think it's one of the best "car" ones the 2010s have to offer.
This movie had no CGI or green screens in it at all. All the stunts were done in real life. They even had fake supercars made up for the final race so they could crash them.

@@rosaria8384 i've been in the collision industry for over a decade, replaced hundreds of roofs, done trucks, mustangs, etc. No roof has enough reinforcement to hold the car's weight. (unless they had rollcages and other brackets welded on to the frame, etc)
The onboard scenes are made with special effects and greenscreens or bluecreens.. they're not really filmed on track. He doesn't shift because the car is sitting still in a studio and he only turns the wheel to make it look like he's driving...

I loved this movie as well. I never understood why it is hated and the critics that bashed the movie. I liked the storyline in this movie. I thought it was interesting. The cars in this movie are absolutely DOPE
When I rewatched this I finally noticed the track (Road Atlanta), the car, and I'm inclined to do the same in the sim rig! I find it odd that one of the first person POV was the reverse of Sector 3, and then car stops at Sector 1 the other way around, but that's beside the point, it's still awesome.
I DID notice that too.... Silly film with the suspended belief there. It's too ridiculous even for non-petrol heads that is impossible. The straight looks so short

I respect Ghost Games for putting Tobey's Mustang in Need for Speed Rivals before the movie was released. Rivals was such an underrated game, although the Mustang was really fun to drive especially when being chased by the RCPD.

This movie reminded me so much of Hot Pursuit especially the ending race. They stayed true to Need For Speed's racing aspect which is great.
