    Engage doesn't have HUD, why were the settings there?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  Před 19 dny +1

      Actually it does have a HUD display, that’s why the controls are there. I’m guessing that either the HUD has been turned off or the HUD content has been all turned off and just needs to be turned on in the drivers display. In the first scenario, if the HUD is off completely, press the button with the “I” and car on it (next to the button with a steering wheel on it) - just to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard - to turn the HUD back on. If the HUD seems on but nothing is showing, then you need to turn on the content you wish to see. If you watch the video starting at 9:40 you will see how turn the HUD content back on. Thanks for watching!

    The most frustrating part of the screen options is how the navigation screen is usually zoomed out so much it does not show anything in the area where you are driving.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  Před měsícem +1

      You should be able to press the magnifying glass on the left side of the screen, to zoom in or out and adjust it to your liking. Once that is done, it should remember that setting then in the future. Thanks for watching!

    Very informative, thanks! Just looked at a Nissan video and saw the HUD display can be turned off next to the lane keep assist button next to the steering wheel. Just picked up mine yesterday and while I like having the HUD available, I don't want it on all the time. Cheers!

      @@TwoGuysandaRide hey thanks man. Think our specs are other way around in uk and us. Is evolve the base spec over there? It's the top spec here anyway. But yeah,loving it. Just wondering about the led strip that runs round the dashboard as it only seems to be one colour, but seen otherwise on videos and stuff

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  Před rokem +2

      @@lawsie69 you’re welcome! The base spec here in the U.S. is the Venture and the top spec is the platinum. The ambient light strip will change color based on the status of the Pro Pilot 2.0 Assist so that’s probably why you see some differences in color in videos. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Nathan, that was a great review of the displays on the Ariya. It took me awhile to learn how to get from here to there. In-fact Nissan sends out a rep to your home to help with the orientation of the car after you have had it for a few weeks.
    But I do have a question for you, at about 19 min, 11 seconds you are showing the controls of the Bose stereo system. We have the top of the line Platinum with the full base and I believe 10 or 11 speakers. My question is you have lots of controls displayed. Out car has the same graphic to the right for left/right, front/back fade. But the controls are minimal with Base, Treble and Speed Sensitive Vol. Did the dealer do something to get more controls over the Base and speakers?
    I have asked one dealer to look at it, no help. I showed our salesperson after three months of ownership, he looked at the other Ariya's on the lot. Said the ones he saw were the same as ours.
    Anyways, thank you for the great review. It's a really good car overall

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the compliment and the question. My guess is you don’t have the full Bose sound system clicked on. I believe if you look under settings then click on sound and beeps, then click on sound. There you should have some options about turning surround sound etc on. One of those settings when turned on should give you the same screen I had. If that does not work, my guess is they were short on computer chips and that one got left out. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    I got tired just by watching it :) How much does it cost the monthly connectivity of the car to the internet? Also, does google maps provide charging itinerary the similar to the native Nissan system? Thanks!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  Před 22 dny +2

      Yes there is a lot to learn, that’s why we make the videos! So to get current costs on connectivity costs you should either contact a Nissan Dealership, or log into your “My Nissan Owner” account and you should be able to see all the plans there. In terms of Google Maps, there is an update coming, but have not seen it yet, that will allow Google map users to have charging itineraries for their electric vehicles. This update will work right on your phones Google maps app. Cars using Google Built in (which this car does not have) will get the update first, and then Google will roll it out to all users. No timeline has been given that I know of, as to when this will occur. Thanks for watching!

    Awesome video! I did not see in the video where you can turn off the horn beep when you lock the car.. that is an option right? If so what menu is that under?.. also there's a roller button to the far left in the dash that has 0,1,2,3 choices .. looks like it would be a a hard button/roller dimmer for the display lights in the car but it's not doing anything that I can tell.. results on that? Two days with my new Ariya Engage and loving it! super helpful video for a new Ariya owners! thank you so much doing it!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Thank you! We’re glad you found it useful, and congratulations on your new ride! we both thought the Ariya was awesome in multiple ways. Don’t forget to help us out by hitting that subscribe button. Now to answer your first question, yes that is an option but you set that from the remote. So once outside your vehicle, press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds. You should then see the hazards flash 3 times without the horn and your all set (the horn won’t chirp on you now) repeat this action to set it back to hazards and horn. Now as for your second question, that particular button with the 0, 1, 2 etc, is your headlight adjustment button. 0 is the correct setting when you are carrying a normal load, if you are pulling a trailer or have a heavy load, you can adjust the headlights by clicking up to a higher number. The higher you go, the lower your headlights will shine, thus avoiding blinding other drivers when driving with a heavy load. As to the screen brightness setting, for that adjustment there are two buttons on the left side of the infotainment screen, one will of course raise the brightness of the screen, and the other will dim the brightness of the screen. Hope this has been helpful and thanks for watching!

    the system seems to be very outdated in comparison with to the new infotainment systems at other brand

    • @TwoGuysandaRide

      Thanks for the comment. I would completely disagree. I’ve been in almost every new all electric vehicle, and this is a fantastic system. It may lack in colors to some degree, but I’ve seen worse. The amount of info available rivals gas and diesel vehicles where as many all electric vehicles are severely limited in what they offer the driver in terms of info. The system is well laid out and anyone used to modern cars would have no problem figuring it out. But, to each their own. Thanks for watching!

    How do you get rid of the privacy message that comes on the centre infotainment screen every time you start the car?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the question. Not positive, but I believe if you go into settings, then click on Nissan Connected services, you can regulate those messages from there by turning if or limiting how much data your sharing with Nissan. Thanks for watching!
