Harry's sweater/jumper was green in the books. Molly matched it to his eyes. In the movies it was blue (so were his eyes).
I just looked into this, in the first film he does actually wear a green sweater/jumper. As far as I could see, it was during the wizard's chess scene between him and Ron in the great hall. This could be the movie inspiration for the cook book?

yeah thats correct, it was driving me crazy when they said it wasnt green
yeah they gave Daniel green contacts but he was allergic to them so he only wore them once and they kept his eyes blue
and also i think sirius or someone says "you have your mothers eyes" WHEN LILLYS WERE GREEN (i know that they tried to use contacts but he had an allergic reaction)
