- A police procession escorts Ada County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Tobin Bolter from the Ada County Coroner’s Office to a funeral home in Boise, Sunday, April 21, 2024. Bolter was shot during a traffic stop Saturday night. Law enforcement agencies from throughout the Treasure Valley joined in the procession that began on Curtis Road.

Been to too many of these. I Pray that Deputy Tobin is resting in the Arms of the Almighty for eternity. I also Pray that the Sheriff's Department never allows his name to be forgotten and cares for Deputy Tobin's family forever. Signed 36.5 years as a LEO.

In the line of fire, saving a child being a hero or just losing sight of a lost person everyday takes a toll. My heart goes out to each and every one of you today suffering a loss of a brother or sister. In line of fire. We must come to some kind of common good with each other because this isn't working. The loads we all carry everyday good or bad is a heavy burden. We must come to some kind of agreement. It is heartbreaking to lose a loved one. A brother, a sister, a mother of father. The loss of a line of fire brother sister today is heartbreaking for the families, friends and loved ones. My heart was out to you❤
I know his spirit was watching this deeply touching tribute to his service and life. The agony of grief is devaststing. His family needs an incredible amount of support. Not just in these weeks, but the coming year when the first Christmas or birthdays without him comes. The firsts are awful. We are gone in an instant, so if you can’t be nice to people, just leave them alone.
Stop wasting tax money on these ridiculous processions.
Cops have no duty to protect yet they get qualified immunity

Traffic lights throughout the whole city should be turned off, every citizen in this city should be made to be aware of what just happened and show respect for the men and women who protect and serve them.

This is so extremely sad, rest in peace, sir🙏 what I find even more sad if that’s even possible are the comments from some of the hardened heartless individuals when a young man has just been taken out in cold blood. I don’t care how you feel about law-enforcement or anything else, this is absolutely despicable and it saddens me to think that we share space and air with these horrible beings. There’s no understanding of this.
Well my only argument is that they still do this parade as if they where entitled to it. This public display is a high honer reserved for hero’s of the highest caliber. Fireman & officers who die whilst saving lives.
Policeman in America aren’t worthy of this honer. Most of them at least. Way to many are either corrupt, ignorant of law, simple dogs for a politician. While the rest don’t call out their colleagues or stand up to corruption.
Basically the deterioration of police across America has made them unworthy of such an honer. It disrespects the hero’s before them.
