Nothing I've driven comes close to the feeling of an Evo, have got a 450whp track 5RS and its wild and the feedback from everything and how raw and pure the car is will never be recreated with how cars are built these days!

Because the wing causes drag which is kinda counterproductive if you're trying to go fast in a straight line? When ever milisecond counts...extra weight/drag is a huge no no.

Why stay 2.0 and not go stroker?

luis velasquez Don't listen to these guys. A 5858 will NOT make 700whp. A 6262 is a perfect turbo for 700whp. I make 680whp on a mustang dyno with a hta3582r which is only slightly behind the 6262. Nothing is wrong with a 2.0, you'll be able to rev higher, but a 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 have more torque and you'll see the turbo spool up faster, giving you a somewhat better pull feeling when wide open.
I went with a 6062 on my IX, perfect turbo imo

Hahaha, I just had a Competition Twin installed a couple of months ago and I still bog the hell out of it everytime I start from a stop. Mine is exactly 100 awhp less than this one on a super conservative tune, and it has been a blast for the last 13 years that I have owned it (I am the original owner).

Evo's (5, 6.5 T.M Edition, 7/8/9) are my favourite cars (for so many reasons) and I love how you gave her a good bit of shit in this vid...I can just tell that you're a really good driver (rev matching, double clutching, downshifting etc). Perfect build right here for a Street Beast! I can tell he thot this build out. Tho only thing that I would change would be to put the Spoiler back on, JDM rear Bumper, Swap the Volks out for some 17x9.5 +20 CCW Classic 4, and finally I would install a Sheepey Twin scroll manifold with twin dumps out the hood!

Hey everyone. I just turned 18, and have been saving up for an evo since I was 15. My dream car is an evo 9, and I would take an evo 9 over literally any other car on the market, no matter the price. Do you guys think when I'm out of college in 4-5 years I will be able to find a mint evo 9 for a reasonable price, or do you think they will be too rare by then for me to buy? Thank you so much for the help.

l wonder why all these Evo's are running 2.3?? 2.0 for drag set up is like the best i feel like but the 2.4 is the best stroke i hear and i hear the 2.3 ... well not so much. with that being said the 2.3 seems to be putting in work, i always thought by higher displacement youd lose the high revin but thats not true. but with more displacement you can get a faster spool... Evo guys what do you think? higher displacement sacreligous or nah? and what do you like about each 4G config for the 4G? i think for a canyon carver that can also go fast straight a 2.4 and for a drag car only 2.0 i have heard all bad about the 2.3 so idk about that... also i feel like it came as a 2.0 for a reason so maybe it should stay that way? i wanna know other experienced opinions on this
