I have one of these and it is usually everyone’s favorite handgun when I bring it out. It is dead on accurate. I will never sell this one.
@Scions4life I agree, definitely a keeper! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated! 👍
Also I believe the full rails are limited run models only. They are not always in production. At least that is what the seller was telling me. I got mine in 2015 and I haven’t seen many full rails come up for sale at all. Mine also came with a second set of grips. They feel like holding onto sandpaper and prefer the G10’s at the range
Yep. I have the solid blue LOK Ops grips with TLR-9 on mine. Whenever I pull it out everyone’s eyes light up.
If you own all these, you have excellent taste! Every gun that I look into to buy you have a review on, especially a lot of guns that people don't review for some reason.
My dream gun. Beautiful.
@Joshua Henry Thank you! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 Thank you for showing off that cool gun, man!
Awesome firearm. I have a springfield emp 40 1911 I've had for several years now, and I love it. Springfield is really putting out some outstanding 1911 style weapons.
@redneck axeman Springfield makes really good 1911s with good quality at a decent price. Some higher end 1911 companies should take not. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 just any fyi safariland makes an als holster for most of the springfield 1911 applications. I was able to find one on Amazon for my emp for under $100.
Nice review keanon I can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers!!keep up the good work
Beautiful I want to get the loaded 45 Springville in chrome stainless one great video brotha ! Nice guns you have .
I recommend the QVO Tactical holsters. Not only is it hard to find a TRP full rail it’s even harder to find one that allows you to leave your weapon light on it while holstered. QVO does both. I prefer carrying with a IWB holster and my QVO allows me carrying my TRP with my Surefire X300U attached and the holster I got is IWB. I have the QVO Tactical “more discreet” IWB made FOR the TRP w/ Surefire and it’s great.
@James wyatt Thanks for the information. I will definitely getting that setup soon! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated! 👍
Love the gun and your videos are good too. Keep it up
@Bryan Sargent Thank you, I try. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
So nice 👍 . Great pick up 💥💥💥 .
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 I still don't have a 1911 . My SAO LEGION is the closest to that . Was planning on buying myself one for Christmas . But am out of work with a broken left wrist . There goes my gun 💰💰💰 . ☹️☹️☹️ .
Ca compliant model comes with grey/blk G10 & blk sandpaper grips.
@Dan Duh Man Garcia Good to know, not familiar with CA laws. DOJ is tough there. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
The grey black are ridgeback VZ Grips and the sandpaper ones are Kensight Sharksin grips.
That 1911 looks awesome and I love that bull barrel. It would appear that sucker is accurate by the huge hole in the target. Have a nice weekend brother.
Thank you! I want to see the video of your Tangfolio pistol you have, nice piece.
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 I know, I'm so far behind. I've taken several videos but just been way busy with the holidays and work. This week will be the first week in a while where I don't have appointments after work. I will have to buckle down and just do it. :)
Great review~ I'm in Las Vegas & need a 10rd or less pistol to keep in my car when I'm traveling to California. I really love the full length rail & bull barrel. So strange about the CA compliant thing~ I also think it's because of the lock but someone commented that it's the GRIPS? If I'm in CA & some stuff goes down, I definitely want to have a CA compliant gun, but the first thing I would do is put Hogue grips on it & I don't know if that would screw the CA compliant thing~ even if it's because they cover the lock.
@jmsmikey Your DOJ is tough on you guys. I'd contact Springfield Armory to check on what you can add etc. Enjoy the firearm! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 Well, I live in Nevada~ which is a gunslinger state so i'm good. I just need a car gun for driving through the desert~ 10rds or less. I think this would be a great choice.
A beauty
great gun. love shooting mine. throw a light on that big rail to get even smoother shots with the extra weight.
@Rocketman9mm Thanks for the tip, got to get a TRL and see what happens. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated! 👍
That's a beauty. I hope mine shows up soon!
@Ricardo Juliet Thanks, you'll love it, has very good accuracy. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
I have a full Rail TRP and you need not have to use a tool for takedown ...who would want tht ? What if you drop it in the field?? I got a guide rod from Dawson Precision out of texas and it allows full takedown with no tools.
@user-nt2qv1ju4o I hear ya! My other 1911s don't have the full-length guide rods. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
Dawson precision make a tool-less guide rod for this
@boss Thanks for the information! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
People in California are still wondering what makes a gun “California legal”
@whopper preciado It's on the DOJ roster luckily for you guys. Check your DOJ or better off let it go and be glad. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
California legal means: extra, unnecessary parts that are prone to fail when you need your firearm the most, while adding only the illusion of additional safety.
Beautiful... and good luck finding this gun at the sticker price $1730 today, might go up to $2500 next year with inflation.
@Nhan Nguyen Thanks. Yes there will be some price gouging because people are desperate to buy during the pandemic. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 2 hours waiting to get inside the store, and most guns stores in my area are all out of 9mm, 380acp, .40acp, hollow point ammo, all they have left are $6,000 Wilson Combat, $5000 Night Hawk, $3000 Ed Brown 1911... there's 1 store just sold 2 of this Spring Field TRP for $1895 + tax. Ohhh I forgot to mention that all Mossberg, Remington shotguns are out, and forget about finding the Benelli M4 right now. Please take good care of yourself and family during this time.
Funny thing how everyone is NOW understanding THEIR right to keep and bear arms. 2A all the way!
2:30 you’ll definitely see them in any length gun and in double stack magazine
@Sorrow Joy True, My slip ups! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
Hey there! So if my serial number on paperwork doesn't have the CA on it, does that mean mine is the off roster, non-ca compliant version?? Because I have no indication on my paperwork or serial # that it is Ca version, although I believe my grip has the keyhole you mentioned?
@VernDogg Millionaire If you bought the firearm from an FFL in CA then it's CA compliant. Your dealer is restricted and only will be supplied CA compliant firearms. You can also check with your FFL.
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 yea it was a private party transfer so it could've been off roster forsure and the DROS paperwork doesn't have CA listed on the serial either so I'm curoius.. I did leave SA a voicemail today to see if they could look up my serial and get back to me so we'll see! I have a feeling it is the ca compliant though with the keyhole like you were saying
@@vernievuitton technically it was off roster and it wasn’t. I had the same thing happen to me. So what happened was that originally the firearm was off roster due to mag capacity and when you did the ppt, they switched the mag. To make it complaint for the ppt. The person that did the ppt either was a cop or got it from a cop. I have a fn5.7 that was off roster “technically” buts it’s exactly the same as any other. It’s just because of the mag capacity. The cop that did the ppt with me just needed to provide a suitable mag.
Don't mind Bull barrels or take down tool, ok with full length guide rods and that rail is nice. Hard to not like 1911's. California has a Roster, firearms must meet certain standards and being a communist state the manufacturer must pay bribe to be on the compliant list. Those grips have nothing to do with compliance. Nice pistol! Great shooting!
Thank you! I would never think California would have an issue with some firearms but the DOJ is tough there.
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 Its all political driven.
And we loss more every day.( gun rights and what can be sold in my great state.
Sad.
Is there any vertical shoulder holster for this gun?
@user-per9jl2dy1i Yes, but you have to make sure it's for the "rail". Check companies like Galco etc. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
Sometimes the only thing that makes a weapon California legal is if it was tested and approved safety measures in California
Dang it Tiger you buy more guns than my wife😂👍🇺🇸
@Shootin' with Uncle Dan Traded the last of my older firearms I don't use. Couple friends bought 3 of my older ones.
I got this for 1450+tax and it came with oem case, 1 mag. Is that a fair deal?
@Munoz360 Yes it is, I've seen this firearm as high at $1600, depending where you live. Congrats on your firearm! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated! 👍
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 i forgot to mention it is in used condition. It looked brand new.
@@icedcoldkilla Long as it works properly you're good. Get some 10 round Wilson Combat magazines! 👍
You can pick these up around 1200 but in these times you gotta pay to play so not too bad
I was lucky to of had picked up a stainless h&k usp compact 9mm for 700 a couple years ago that I traded for a full rail trp because the hooked trigger on the usp threw me off a lot
Enjoy your trp!
Grab you a tool less Dawson guide rod. 80 bucks well spent. It’s my duty gun. I trust my life with it.
Thanks, good to know! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
Good review as always but No Springfield for me.
My last Springfield. I hated the political stuff but I couldn't deny their quality. The gun shop I work at, people are starting to get back with Springfield mainly with the Saint ARs and the Hellcat. Shame that the American workers were caught up in their issues.
The previous owner probably got rid of the Full rail operator the same reason i got rid of mine, it's the front and backstrap checkering, it hurts after 50 or so rounds
What was Springfield armory thinking, when they build their 1911 with 20 lpi front n back, instead of 25 or 30.
@King Cheung Some companies make over aggressive checking or not enough, I guess there is no standard. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
CA Compliant=Drop test....... Springfield Hell isn't CA compliant because of the drop test. Silly
What holster is that for it?
@Flinchinq I haven't used a holster with it yet, however I'm going to get a holster for it from QVO Tactical. They make a holster for it with and without a light. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 no problem I was just curious of that holster that’s in the case that came with the gun I like the look of it
@@flinchinq2618 The full rail is a beast to carry but the regular rail is more forgiving.
California legal* California handguns can't hold over 10 rounds. That's one reason it's legal*
@Justin Todd Thanks, I get a lot of people ask me if certain firearms are legal or not in California. I wouldn't know. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 California is so stupid... I mean, a ban on having more than 10 rounds? THAT LAW WILL SAVE SOOOOO MANY LIVES!!!!!
@@justindr.yaegertodd6220 I agree! Hopefully something will change in the future 🇺🇸
If they REALLY want to save lives, then why don't they pass laws on over prescribing of medications, like pain pills...
@@justindr.yaegertodd6220 Because they make excuses saying pain pills etc are desease rather than saying it's abuse of the pills.
Bought one and had it shipped to my FFL in CA, The privouse owner installed the G-10 grips which knocked it out of compliance. Fortunately my FFL called the seller before he shipped and told him to install the origin "Sandpaper" grips that the gun was tested with in CA. I was able to pickup my Pistol with no issues after that. FFL told me if it had arrived with different grips....he could not have delivered it to me. Crazy, But that's CA....this state is nuts!
@Jimi You're the 2nd person that told me about the grip issue. So stupid, just like the brace issue. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
