also if you do clozes, the items will inherit this script so the same behaviour will happen for those items. You can disable this by presetting a template for items and force it to all items in default concept settings (the lightbuilb)

Oh that was a major overlook! I think you can get rid of the script component automatically via template flags (considered an extra component, and therefore only visible when checking source or detaching template). I haven't check, perhaps this is bugged, in SM a feature is bugged until the opposite is proven :)

Time to start patching the supermemo binary inatead of all these auto hot key scripts.

1:30 actually when you compose a new component the current template automatically detachs

I'd say using a shortcut or turn off autoplay will probably create a better user experience. If you have autoplay on the script will be excuted everytime you switch to this element so it could be annoying at times

It's a tradeoff. On the case that you browse such element and it is loaded in the element window, you can always undo the action. I may guess that would be less often than the automations triggered. I don't personally use this flow so I only have an assumption

This is because SM's priority queue works by ordering the topics/items, rather than assigning each a indepent value, right? I heard before it was different. Is that true? And do you know the reasons why it was changed?

In SM intervals always increase. Topics do not follow the same scheduling than items (SRS). The interval of a higher priority topic will increase slower than a lower priority topic but still too quixkly after the 3rd or 4th rep.

Priority can be expressed in number in the queue or in percentage. The user can use either value to set priorities manually. When you change the priority of an element from 10% to 5%, all elements contained from 5% to the end will be shifted one position, the same case as if in a car race the 5th car crashes, the 6th becomes the 5th, the 7th becomes the 6th etc
