An Evening with David Brooks - Oct. 7, 2023

The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio hosted an evening celebrating and inspiring community building with New York Times columnist and best-selling author David Brooks on Oct. 7, 2023, at Logan High School. During his presentation, Brooks discussed his book, "The Second Mountain," and shared insights on building a meaningful life through service to community.

I was neglected by parents when I was young so I couldn't find love inside the family. The term aggressive friendship is insightful to me. I may have been doing some of it without knowing, especially after my first marriage breakdown.
