I never see this mentioned by commentators. But the reason Kirbys go FD is because platforms prevent all his throw combos.

This is why i hate the smash matching system, as a kirby main its so annoying to get battlefield and small battlefield. Especially small battlefield since it has a smaller blast zone
They don't, you just need to adjust your combos
@Levi Maxwell then you go on battlefield as kirby online and try to do forward throw into forward air into re-grab into forward throw into down air into re-grab into down throw. Then say it doesn’t interfere with kirby’s combos

Jigglypuff not having a projectile combined with its low endlag makes it a rather annoying and surprisingly effective option given proper uses.
Up B is underrated and I'm glad this player uses it as much as I do. Against any opponent in the air, it is usually a great catching tool. Didn't work nearly as good in Smash 4 because of multiple airdodges.
I do love top tier Smash gameplay.

If any character had Jigg's air speed and Accel, they'd be bumped up in tiers
At first Kirby mains will have to adjust to that change, I bet that it'll mess up their fighting styles. But after a while, yeah I see that happening
F-air would have to be changed, the multi hit would never land, but b-air would be absolutely devastating.

Very special matchup. Jigglypuff has all the airspeed but Kirby with that better frame data and the now-important disjoint of final cutter, that sudden jank upwards VERY valuable against an opposing floater.
They very easily break out of each other's combos so it's a lot of aerial swatball going on. Entertaining and definitely a bullet sweater, DI is the true champion in this one
Don't you just love it when Hbox goes for a terrible rest that would never work, throws the entire set, and complains: "What am I doing wrong?" The next day?
I think it's because he hasn't lost to Kirby before or something. He thinks he can just win by fearlessly using the powerful option.
@@sigurdtheblue I dont think its that, its just that the drill rest is a difficult combo to pull off, and it seems to me that Hbox thinks of it as just a chance to work or not. He calls it rolling the dice sometimes when he goes for it. But you can tell if its going to work ahead of time, if you dont cancel the drill with landing early enough it wont work. I can always tell a split second ahead of time when watching Hbox if its going to work or not (of course doing so while actually playing is even harder, as a puff main myself im scared to go for it alot, but i make sure when i do itll land)
