Thank you for posting this, this was one of the most memorable events I ever went to in my 25 years with f skateboarding. EVERY east coast legend at the time under one roof.
@@skateclassicclips oh I know. I seen after I watched the montage who was in it and I knew seen Ricky Oyola! But for sure dude this IS skateboarding I feel in its PUREST street style form. It wasnt about dropping a knew Instagram clips (even though social media wasn't around) or giant billionaire companies sinking money into contests and Olympics and all that shit. This Skateboarding when meeting up at the plaza and just loving the scene for what it was. Skateboarding now is making skaters cash and sponsors are always good but as good as the tricks get and the more exposure everyone has to everything isnt necessarily a bad thing for skating... when u watch the late 90's street and tech starting to take off and even into the millennium and a few years after... there was a switch of the purity disappearing as well as time on like to 2010 to 2020. I can be trippin but late 90s street skateboarding will always have that nostalgic love and that pure art to it. I can name more guys in a old transworld or 411 video then I can today and I dont see that as a bad thing at all!
I was there, good times. This video is but a fraction of the ill tricks that went down. BTW- that bank to wall was much sicker than the camera makes it look
Extra classic Harold footy!!!
