Can't believe this show passed but Regular Show and all that had to censor. They should make late night shows like this again to attract an older audience too.
Well, you kinda hit the nail on the head in your own statement--Regular Show never aired later than between 6-8pm and reruns were on weekdays, usually. Sunday Pants was something that aired once a weekend past 9pm. There are rules that dictate what kind of content can air on a broadcast network during the daytime, and networks like CN have their own standards and practices guidelines to adhere to. Very rarely would they defy these rules--some of the only instances were for films they heavily promoted (2007 they aired Stan Lee's film the Condor with a TV-14-LV rating as the headliner for Toonami) or in the case of Princess Mononoke, the director mandated there should be no cuts for content.
It's not even a kid-friendly message. In fact, it's an unspoken Cartoon Network rule that you can't say the word "damn", "hell", or "crap" and stuff like that. That's why Regular Show was so weird, because CN 2010 barely get to talk about swearing. In the first episode of Regular Show, Rigby says the most non-kid-friendly message, that Cartoon Network reran the episode with a much more kid-friendly language, because of its excessive use of swearing. It only aired once, and has never been seen again. Rigby would say: "Okay ×2, let's not blame anyone... Now, how in the H are we gonna fix this S?" After that, the episode was pulled from air immediately.
I was actually watching this in my living room on the Cable/Satellite: DirecTV or Dish Network I'm not so sure... And my mom was like: Mother: *hears a cuss word on a kid-friendly television* Mother "Jack, what the hell are you watching?" Mother continues: "THAT BETTER NOT BE ANY OF THAT F*CKING SWEARING ON THT TV SHOW!" 10-year old me: "What?"
Exactly a show like this definitely has a lot of potential with it basically being like a variety of different animated sketches I honestly kind of wish Cartoon Network would do something like this again
There were so many expletives in this one compilation that it cancelled the show. Sad. I loved this Liquid Television style anthology series. It definitely should have been pitched to Adult Swim though.
I love how so many in the comments are shocked that "hell" was said here in a CN show when Justice League had it said once years prior and then Total Drama Island had that word said uncensored years later.
After the inappropriate talking of this foul language, it was shelved away, due to the inappropriateness of this Cartoon Network show being too mature for kids. Same goes for the Infamous Dexter's Laboratory episode from Season 2, "Rude Removal".
