Thanks Phil, seems a decent bit of kit, especially if you already have the batteries !

Great trimmer only downside is getting hold of batteries and a charger, I can't find them anywhere

Good video. I have the older version which looks almost identical. I have used it a lot and it's fantastic. The batteries last for ages and ages. I find one fully charged 5ah battery will do several average garden hedge cuts...maybe as much as 10 on one charge? And if there's ever a tool that benefits from being cordless then a hedge trimmer must be it! So easy and safe with no cable to cut (as I had previously done 3 or 4 times over the years with an electric one). I find it very quiet especially compared to the horribly noisy petrol ones. A real bargain especially if you already have the batteries and charger. It's nice and light too!

I agree Brian. I do like this machine it ticks all the boxes for me. Light, easy to use, cordless, batteries last.

Very informative video thank you , you say its very good value for the money but didnt say how much it was , apparently aldi are having problems with the company supplying the battery's and i think they are setting up a new supplier for the battery's hence the lack of their tools for sale in the stores

I did wonder why they don't seem to be selling as many tools recently. I think it was around the ÂŁ30 mark last year. I'm still using it. I really like this model.

Love finding this channel. Just getting into DIY and the cordless battery range from Aldi.
When did you purchase this? I'm desperate for this for the alley to get my bins down but it's been showing as unavailable for a week or two at least.
I would buy a corded one but I'd need about 50 extension chords to go where I need!

Thanks! I bought mine autumn last year. I have noticed that it seems hard to find for sale online at the moment. I should hope at some point it will come back onto the Aldi site fingers crossed. Sorry I can't be of more help.

@@PhillWyattProjects That's okay mate, it's not your fault! Just gotta keep my eyes out and I visit multiple stores often to see what they have in store as they can vary quite wildly despite being close together.
I found your channel looking for a strimmer. Now I've got the Ferrex strimmer, an impact driver and a 20/40V battery and charger.
I want to buy everything despite having no workshop, no work-bench, no saw or idea what I want to make.
I nearly bought an angle grinder without having a clue what they really do or why I'd need one 😅

One minor point re the batteries....The latest versions of them seem to have weird labels....with near invisible print on them, they almost look completely plain black....Looks a bit rubbish (imo)...It's almost like their was a printing error or something that they didn't bother fixing.

Are you talking about the labels on the batteries because all of mine are like that. Not sure why as the print used to be very visible.

I noticed that too..except, my newer batteries have bold printing. Its older batteries that have come with second hand tools that appear darker

Hi, this is a hedge cutter it doesn't have an extension pole. Are you sure you have this model?
