Maleek Jackson Boxing

Maleek Jackson is knocking out gun violence with a special program for kids and teens in Philadelphia. Maleek was incarcerated for 10 years (including a few years in solitary confinement). While in prison, he rediscovered a love of boxing and used it to get stronger both physically and mentally. Now, he teaches young people to box to build confidence and redirect focus through the Azzim Dukes Initiative, named after Maleek’s little brother Azzim, who was killed. Boxing at Maleek's gym gives kids a safe place to go and a community to be part of.
