@benjamin.cahoon as a person who just used pottery there's a easier method just push the lump of clay from both sides into the center it's easier and faster I've done both both
I have another guy who uses coning to center the clay. (Im not a clay guy but it seems fun enough) But basically it makes a very tall shape then he presses it back down into the center. Idk, youtube shorts let me meet both you guys today. And i dont do pottery but it seems fun enough and I love both you guy's energies. The only thing i know about pottery is from the movie Ghost, and it'd be cool if i met the love of my life while learning how to do pottery.
I got some pretty young students and I think that they don't like to learn from old fart adults, so I think your image and simple instruction is way kool!
My mom had a pottery wheel when she was a kid and we don’t know how to use it so this is really helpful 😂
