- Take 2, up at Defender Ranch. This place is literally a shooters paradise where you can hit steel at 2000+ meters. Jared, Sawyer, and Aaron test some of the capabilities of their favorite .223 rifles and work some positional shooting.

The close up of Aaron's favorite position was brilliant cinematography. Nicely done 🤣
Hahaha Sawyer couldn't help himself, had to zoom
The "Pull" method was incredible change for me!!
Breathtaking cinematography. Pretty good shooting also.
thank you!
My 16"franken AR with1-6 LPVO, 55 grain ammo, was hard at 600....A zone. humanoid was easy... still hit the A zone multiple times.... also at the top of the canyon on the hike... 8" steel at 500yd, ( i found a better place than the cliff), 1st shot hit!! Only 2 of us at Costaludus's first class up there at Defender Ranch! Love that range, and people that run it!!
Relaxing environment, fun guys to be around, sending rounds at distance. Count me in
Easy to digest content. Please do more long range spr stuff!
Thanks!! We plan on it!
This is the fucking dream.
Right?!
Liked this alot
First dude needs to grease his buffer spring
Buffer spring sound like me and the old lady's mattress knowhatimsayin
How about a Tier1 2-gun match? Push the rifles out to intermediate distances as well as up-close ( to justify the red dots, lol) with some pistol transitions thrown in for fun. Maybe make it a thing later and get some more shooters involved. I appreciate the content you guys put out, especially the way you push each other to improve. Keep it up!
That sounds like a fun time!
Hopefully the next trip out there is with the bolt guns, would love to see that one!
Stay tuned!
Good stuff bois
Thanks!
Not me watching Aaron's run on repeat
Hahaha so we weren't the only ones...
@11:38 that GYATT
hahaha
This is good stuff. Maybe different calibers.
Also any high angle stuff based on the ridge lines we see in the view??
Absolutely! We have some videos like that in the works!
Best shot of the video at 11:38 😂
Hahaha
The moment 5.56 guns looked up 6.5 grendel and 6 arc happened after this video lol.
haha we have some different caliber rifle vids in the works actually!
@Tier1Concealed I have taken the grendel to 1200yds its good to about 1k without much effort. Have a 6 arc barrel on order only difference is .100 bc points but it blows away the 223 easily.
Let’s see them binoharness spr kits!
great fucking video. i love it
Thank you!
awe they got cute little pillows so they dont scratch their cute toys
Lol what if they get sleepy?
How else does your rifle nap ?
Loved this video! What is Jared's background with firearms?
I'm unaware of his current screen saver. It's probably a highpoint.
@@ethanbarnes3973 I laughed. This is my kind of terrible humor.
Gear load outs!
I want yall to disprove the myth that SBRs (11.5-12.5's, maybe 10.3's too) cant reach out that far with proper dope and ammo. With LPVOs too so it isn't far off from actual use case. Would be an amazing vid that everyone should see
Where can I buy the hat Jared is wearing in this video?
4 shots at 400 yds at 27:00 was incredibly impressive. That rifle is gassed perfectly and you buys can choot
Yeah that thing is super smooth! If you want a nice little surprise go to the very end of the video 😉

It’s me again asking what shade of green sawyer used on his gun???
Pretty sure its one of the Krylon camo colors... forest green maybe?
When he said 11mils i was like whaaaaaaaa, are these 77smk going 3100fps
11.7 mils but his dope was a little off, he was hitting low, so it ended up being closer to 12.5 or 13 mils. He's also running 73 gr ELD-M's out of his 18" cobalt rifle
Warhorse development bags?
Yes sir!
Can someone identify the mount Jared is using with his NF 4-20?
Its a Spuhr cantilever mount
What supressor is Jared Running?
Pretty sure he is running his Deadair Sandman-S on that one, under the modtac suppressor cover
What sandbag are you guys using?
War Horse Development clede field bags
What barrels and barrel lengths on these builds? Also are all 5.56? Thanks!
Yep, they’re all .223 wylde. Jared and Aaron’s are 16” and Sawyers is 18”
@@Tier1Concealed awesome thanks! Think a 14.5 would serve this role adequately?
The 14.5 is a good length for 0-300M but for longer distance the 18in really shines out to 650/700ish, the scope mag makes a difference too 4-16 or even 5-25X. You can hit paper to 1000 with an 11.5 but what is combat effective would be 200M and in for the 11.5…LASTLY examples with mk262 77gr blk hills/75gr Hornady TAP not cheap 55gr fmj
I’m building a Wilson combat od green 16in Douglas with nightforce 2.5-20 NX8… I’ll consider it effective to 500M and likely to shoot 0.5-0.75MOA WHEN I GET IT DIALED IN. shooter makes a difference, Larue MBT2s. Second most important aspect other then knowing your scopes reticle.
@@VxfreddyVxI use a 14.5 and 77gr at matches that go out to 750 and find it more than adequate if the further targets have flashers
is it common for folks to shoot supressed 223 and not wear ear pro??
Depends on the location and suppressor! With a good can and wide open spaces they can be very hearing safe
What bags are those?
The shooting bags are from War Horse Development
What range is this? Who do I need to talk to?!? 😂 I neeeeeed to get content for my channel Their…. Plzzzzz 😂😂😂
This is Defender Ranch. Stay tuned for more info
Jared packing on the poundage. Get back to it.
Keep riding the short bus guys with your precision grip! LMAO.
