@@monsterhunter445 Yet people are dreaming to work for him.
Wow. He is sleeping in a conference room in the unfinished factory, to get a feel of the progress. The general media does appreciate how much more of a true CEO he is, rather than just a billionaire.
Yes, but is he alone? Wink wink... Was that an invitation?
@@emikadumas4376 lol that is what I thought. Hilarious.
yeah. People also don't understand where "his" money comes from. Its not like he's sitting on a pile of 100bn dollars. Most of "his money" is just the rights he has for capital allocation for his companies as a CEO
@@SoumilSahu It's good to see people type this!
@@SoumilSahu Some people the first CEO of 3 companies which are worth 1bn $. Some just see him overtaking Bill Gates as the 2nd richest man alive. But I've seen much more positive news about any of his companies in recent times, compared to 2016-2018 - maybe because there are not many short-seller left.
Elon is the man of the century, at least. He will go down in the history books as the guy who started the space age. He is the second richest man yet he sleeps in a conference room in his unfinished factory.

Elon Musk is the most valuable human being on the planet, and not because of his wealth
mostly capitalism works, the money you get is highly correlated to how much you provide to society
'cause he is what he is
100% agree. He is the focal point for forward thinking people. I sometimes worry what might happen if he was suddenly no longer around.
Keep in mind, this idot predicted "close to zero" Covid cases by the end of April in the US. This is how much of a genius this guy is.
@@Heyovv yes
The lie of capitalism is to fool people into believing that everyone can achieve a certain standard of living if they are diligent enough. All of the living standards of our middle class. That is a lie and we must say goodbye to it for good. You see in this country that that is not possible. You can be as hard-working as you want. That doesn't help you in certain professions. As a doctor's assistant, as a pharmacy employee, as a cleaning lady, as a taxi driver, as a nurse in a retirement home, you can be as hard-working as you want. You never get on a green branch. None of this has anything to do with diligence, no, of course not. And whoever says: We need a low-wage sector to keep the economy going, says nothing more than that the standard of living of the middle class with a car and vacation and all the trimmings, the standard of living of this middle class can only be maintained if a third the population here works for board and lodging. Whether behind the wall or here in the neighborhood. You need these modern slaves. And you have to be honest - if you support this economy, then be honest, then say: I am like that. Get a tattoo of the "slave driver" on your forehead, everyone knows where it is. We have a democracy. You can also take the abbreviation "FDP". Then you still have space for something else. ☺ But stop telling people that everyone can become something here. OK you can of course say: Anyone can get rich here. But not all. It's like the lottery. The big shit is, anyone can become a millionaire, but not everyone. In the lottery the chance is one in 140 million. Still, people play the lottery. Because they hope the one in 140 million is you! That 20 million have to throw away their money in order for one to get rich, that is the principle of capitalism. A small group gets richer and it gets better and better. And a growing group of people is getting worse and worse. And that is the principle of this economy. That is the effect of interest and compound interest. And if someone tells you anything else, they are either a complete idiot or an extremely unsavory body opening, ladies and gentlemen. ☺☺
Hope Elon read these comments and get a sense of how much so many people love and admire him to support him when haters hate on him.
Like very much 🤩

39:33 Elon talks about reverse aging and you do not ask for more information? WTF
😔😔😔
Unfortunately people are so ignorant about anti-aging research - it's actually mind boggling why it's almost never discussed in public
yea, it was the most important part of the convo.
i don't think the guy was paying attention. i think his head leaning to one side was an indicator he was zoning out. as soon as elon is "done" answering a question he does a hard segway into the next question. he was only there to deliver questions, not have a conversation. he seemed very uninterested in what elon had to say.
He's a man who thinks about evolution - probably doesn't want to remain human for that long, rather develop a way to become a cyborg.
I know Elon Musk wants to be humble, and frankly i understand him. And honestly, i can without exaggeration say that i share in his "condition" of having nonstop ideas buzzing around 24/7 in my head (but without the engineering knowhow to execute on them). He's not superhuman, he's just a man like any other. Fine. BUT, he did something. Instead of just sitting at home, he actually did something with the ideas. That's the difference. And that's what makes him special.
The thing is, one man CAN indeed change the world, and even the course of the entire human civilization.
Let's just imagine for one moment, that Earth faces an unstoppable extinction level event in 200 years. Be it an asteroid or whatever. Now lets imagine that, IF Elon Musk's Starship gets us to Mars "early", we manage to set up a self-sustaining colony there by 2200.
But if he did NOT get us there "early", but we rather waited for NASA or previous enterprises, which may only have resulted in a 100% self-sustaining colony by 2250, which would inevitable fail under the hardships of no longer recieving any support from Earth..
Then this would mean, quite literally, that 1 man's efforts to organize this mission ASAP, would be the difference between our entire civilization surviving or becoming snuffed out in the mists of time..
Hyperbolic? Yes. But undeniably possible. The universe has no mercy, it does not wait for us to be "ready". Every year that we're NOT multi-planetary is another roll of the dice between survival and extinction.
This is what is so scary. That 1 man CAN indeed have such an impact, in the longer scale of time.
We should not deify him, but we should also not downplay his importance.
What we should do, is ask ourselves, why do we have so FEW Elon Musks in the world, if they COULD potentially have such a huge impact on our future, long-term? We need to do whatever we can, sociologically, to ensure that a THOUSAND more Elon Musks can be cultivated to reach their aspirations in our society. Because it is extremely foolish to have an entire civilization practically rest on the shoulders of a handful of people.
(And this goes both positive and negative ways, the same way that civilization rested on the shoulders of the US and USSR presidents with nukes on their fingertips during the Cold War.)
You should take a page from his book and read everything you can get your hands on and maybe your never-ending thoughts would form plans also.

They’ll bring out Obama and Trump together on stage next year. That’d do it
He's great, really in a good mood in this interview, full of creativity and sparkle, the interviewer on the other hand it's boring, flat, cuts him off, and didn't do a very good job with the questions.
I feel like the interviewer didn't want to be there. He did not match Elon's energy at any point, and glided through all his questions.
Especially the birthday question, he lost patience for a man that wanted to put considerable thought into his answer
he is the CEO of Axel Springer... not a journalist... and they are probably friends anyway.

@@hermannkreitmayer No it is still awkward

This interviewer kept de-railing responses before the wheels really got turning, IMO. The question about the kids is a great example- the original question was about Elon’s opinion on what was mankind’s greatest threat. He interrupted Elon during the response, and that is ultimately how they fell of that cliff. 33:49

@@brokkoliomg6103 depends on when.
