- Singer and songwriter Kali Uchis sits down with Zane Lowe to discuss her new album, ‘ORQUÍDEAS.' Kali enters the studio moments after announcing that she is expecting her first child with partner, Don Toliver. She reveals that the album was named after the flower she finds beautiful, and was a nod to her Colombian heritage, but meant even more when she learned that the flower represents fertility.
Kali also opens up about her songwriting process, her experience collaborating with KAROL G, Peso Pluma and others on this album, what freedom means to her, her experience navigating the music industry, and her plans to continue releasing new music.

I discovered her in 2016 along with Tash sultana. One thing about these artist that I love is that they haven't changed their sound and they have kept their core sound. They haven't bent over to main stream and actually broke into main stream being themselves
