As a Moze main I still gotta admit fade away FL4K with the Hellwalker is just so much fun. Basically ANY Jakobs makes FL4K a crit monster. Then Gamma Burst sending your pet off to kill ALL THE THINGS while you stand there dancing shooting nothing at all.
@@gfys707 he has his own play style but not weak at all. With right skills his pet becomes damage sponge and revives him constantly. Have you tried monarch on him? Melts everything with fade away.

I don't understand why people overlook fl4k so much. He's my favourite VH to play as, he's so damn tanky I died the least while playing as him. Pet revives him constantly and is pretty tanky himself, plus you have fade away to really bring out the pain. Bosses melt like butter with fade away + monarch combo. Fl4k best uses the Jacobs weapons especially Hellwalker and Rowan's call.
Yeah truth I’m a flak main, he is a bit squishy but he has so many skills to make it so you never get shot at. And he is good with like any weapon, I’d the weapon is good in general he can wreck with it, and he is so much fun too. He gets overlooked at times.
What's funny is he's the strongest character in the base game, even with two getting massively buffed, with him and moze getting nerfed into the ground. And this is before the DLCs, putting these into the equation there is no character in the game that even remotely comes close to FL4K. Using his best build, which is the purple pet build with gamma skill, you could be on OP 99,999 and there still wouldn't be anything that could stop him. The ones overlooking him are idiots, I'll be over here with my triple sticky grenade one shotting OP10 bosses that don't use that invicibility bullshit.
@XainArchives it's because moze has IB and insane splash damage while zane can run around at 10x speed while melting everyone. Also zane ironically has the eraser skill which should have been on Fl4k since he's the crit master lol

There is actually a way to make Fl4k super tanky without losing damage. I don't know if this is common knowlege, but i never seen a video about it. You only need a Red Fang Classmod (Skills and passives doesn't matter). When you enter a map, lets say guardian takedown, all you need is to activate Gamma Burst with Red Fang one time. After the first gamma burst is over you can switch to any classmod and Action skill you want. The trick is to not use any Gear or skills that will draw the enemy attention again - that will override the Red Fang aggro draw. So don't use "Not my circus" or the Purple "Blind by Anger" arguments, also don't use blue capstone "Domincance" or a "Mesmer" grenade. When you fully go down (to a respawn station), change map, or use any type of aggro draw after you will have to do it again. This will make Fl4k way more tanky and since you can switch all gear after the first Gamma Burst you wont lose damage. Enjoy :)
Frozen Heart, Rad Stone Static Charge/ Cryo Stone White Elephant, Fish, and the Peregrine. Fl4k goes from POV Bullet-Hell to a slippery homeless man who has trained his pigeons to drop m80's.
I say the amount of builds with fl4k is insane. You can be a stealth main, guns, or a tank that just melts enemies health bars. Then you can pick what pet you want or abilities and equip slots. Then choosing the elements you want if you want a nuke/ice build (which is my favourite) or a corrosive/lighting build. The potential is endless.
The loot that deals 'damage' like the artillery or tesla grenades is also pretty fun to use since he can amp those effects way up. Being kitted out as a jakobs marksman alone though makes him interesting since those weapons are so satisfying to use
I just started playing this game today, after playing farcry primal -where you play as the beast master... and dammm G now i see whats ahead 😅😅😅 atleast i had a feeling to choose fl4k at the start because i saw his name is beastmaster so let the power of the beast master continue ...
@@robsteries you can interchange them without switching skills on the trees. Zane if you want the shield you have to change you build if you want to use same iron bear and the ball with amara but flak in one build can swap to the rakk attack fade away and gamma burst/red fang combo

@@robsteries been playing from launch ya I have seen some god rolls but parts don't matter so much they do but not as heavy as bl2. With the right anointments you can do well

(I mean, K6 is at 3000 something right now for this one. Imagine the time 'wasted' in a life, to get this). Cool thing about this game is that you can still have something better, for example, I haven't come across the cloning maddening tracker yet.. Lots came clos, but not this one. And this why I think this one is worth keep on playing. Having said that. You are an old school Borderlands player and I am not. I have never played the BL2, ever. Big cheers mate

Out of all that stuff in media, I find myself having no qualms with Fl4k. maybe since it's a social-biological issue on one that is not biological in the first place makes it a free pass in my mind. Also I get the feeling that they do t care if you misgender them anyway as their original personality never had the concept in the first place for their function, so it wouldn't become issue in-universe either.

Fl4k was the first character i played as in bl3 and is probably my favourite, i like using the clairvoyance, dark army and bekah on him

I think it's because a lot of people picked Fl4k thinking he'd be like Zer0. After a while people realized Zane was closer to what they wanted
