Hi, fellow Canadian! Good for you guys. Be glad you did this. It’s bad here.
We are retiring in Nicaragua. My wife is from Corinto but we think we want to live in Matagalpa or Jinotega, for cooler temps.
The only reason we may drive is because we have 4 dogs, two are large. We may need to drive 2 cars. Once we get there we really don’t care about keeping the cars, except wondering if we will need one to get them to the vet occasionally. No, we do not want to fly them over.
I drive a atv . Registered in my Nica partners name. I would not own a car.. big hassle.
The atv is perfect for short trips and taxis are dirt cheap when you share with 3 other people. I never take a bus.
how about pulling rv trailer like 5th wheeler to nica. probably impossible?
My plan is to buy new tires plus to spares?
What are the super highways?
With my trailer, I can haul a refrigerator or take my kayak to waters edge at the beach.
The atv rules
lived in nica for 5 years.2010--2015, went to border every 3 months. tourist visa. never had a problem. less than a hour... licensed atv. registered in lawyer's name. i think you girls were taken for a ride
If you want to bring your personal vehicle into Nicaragua what do they ask when you go through the borders and how much taxes do they charge in Nicaragua when you get there for example I have a 2019 Ford F-250
raise the suspension
David do you buy your ATV a Nicaragua for date you brought it in from the states?
you need to live here a while and get a good Nica friend. my partner is Great.
Lived in nica 5 years, San Juan del sur…. Happy with atv for local use.. taxi for going to Rivas and Managua.. cheap…. Owning a car is expensive and totally unnecessary.
@@skipstreet Bring what you want but make sure it’s used or tax man will kill. I don’t import anything. No need to. And use the post office. Had atv tires delivered to post office in San Juan
No bail in Nica.. accidentally hit a kid, your going to jail until court.
