Carlos Uribe Sometimes, when it's high, the batter makes an early decision to "give up" on it as it drops in for a strike. This is something a pitcher would more likely do early in the count. Making them chase one in the dirt is more effective when you're ahead in the count, particularly with two strikes when the batter is trigger happy.
Best I've seen in a long time. Killer curve ball - excellent fielder -- handy with the bat too - smart and a master of deception - these highlights make a lot of batters he faces look flummoxed.
Kershaw is ONE of those guys who come around every 100 years. I havent watched or played baseball in 16 years. But I find myself watching this guy. Just like MLB batters at the plate. So mechanical and talented! Incredible!
2008 okay season 2009 okay season 2010 good season 2011 Cy Young 2012 Cy Young 2013 3rd All star game 2014 Mvp Cy young 2015 301 Strikeouts 2016 best in the league
Hands down he will go down as one of the greatest pitchers ever, has every single pitch in the book with perfect control and power, plus he can hit like a beast.
But in the playoffs he's bad. Got the mickey mouse championship. Mad bum may not be a regular season pitcher but in the playoffs he's the terminator unlike Kershaw.
This is a guy who, for me, I love to see do well. He's an excellent pitcher (that curveball holy shit) and just a great guy; he and his wife do a lot of humanitarian work. In my opinion, he's a great role model for young baseball pitchers and he deserves every bit of success he's achieved.
I'm somewhat envious of Dodgers fans that get to witness his performance every time he's on the mound. Only time I get to see him is when he's shutting down the Giants. Kershaw is unfair.
Yeah but Kershaw's only "The Greatest of all Time! And I personally saw lots of Koufax vs Marichal duels at The Stick growin up in SF! juan wasn't too bad either! Koufax: Best I ever saw 63-66 until Kersh came along! But it took 50 yrs is all! Dammmm!

Guy damn near had a perfect game against the Rockies last night (DAMMIT, HANLEY!!! LOL), but will gladly take the no-hitter. Second time in MLB history that a Dodger pitcher has no-hit the Rockies (Hideo Nomo did it at Coors of all places nearly 18 years ago-BEFORE the advent of the humidor, mind you). Kershaw right now is entering Sandy Koufax territory. Only difference is, Dodgers won't let him pile up the innings in a short timespan like they did with Sandy back in the day. Should bode well for the rest of his MLB career going forward, especially knowing this will probably not be his final flirt with perfection on the mound... ;-)
The songs are too good even the second one. (I don't know what its called) But Clayton Kershaw had I think 5+ complete games. And it has a lot of his cy young highlights. (I think the third song is the best.) anyway, he is a very good. Oh, crap I just the song in my head.=)
Man, Kershaw reminds me of Peyton Manning. He's so great in the regular season, but chokes in the playoffs. How could a pitcher be so dominant in the regular season and then pitch like a single A pitcher in the postseason?..
nlds game 1 was just crazy, but in game 4 he was on 3 days rest and at 100 pitches, that wasn't choking that was being physically incapable, one of Kershaw's losses to st Louis in the postseason was a 1-0 game, and Mattingly using Kershaw so long didn't make too much sense to me because even in the regular season he has had struggles against them, like Zack Greinke who is my favorite pitcher has struggled against Arizona in his career there's just some teams that have that pitcher figured out, and sorry for the long ass comment
Like the song says, I wish we can go back. I miss prime Kershaw
I hate what the Dodgers have become but even that can’t keep me from watching CK whenever I can
That is one of the sharpest breaking curveballs I've ever seen. I don't see how that pitch can be hit.
If it's too high they'll see it coming better and have a better chance of timing it. You gotta make them go fishing for it.

I feel like this era Kershaw is what the Giants thought they were getting in Barry Zito haha
And I’m a huge BZ75 fan
@@DavidEmerling79 7 years later i come back to this gem of a highlight reel. Kershaw’s curveball is forever cooperstown material
Best I've seen in a long time. Killer curve ball - excellent fielder -- handy with the bat too - smart and a master of deception - these highlights make a lot of batters he faces look flummoxed.
thriftdig i dont know what flummoxed means but it sounds like a suiting word
Cant believe wasnt started in all star game he is a BEAST
Kershaw is ONE of those guys who come around every 100 years. I havent watched or played baseball in 16 years. But I find myself watching this guy. Just like MLB batters at the plate. So mechanical and talented! Incredible!
The 12-6 Curveball by him is JUST BEAUTIFUL, you love to watch it over and over again

2017 World Series Appearance
2009 he had a 2.79 era lmao
Kershaw on the mound; Vin in the booth. I could watch and listen to this ALL day.
same here cuz his pitching is just NASTY
major league baseball has changed since 2013 to say the least
Hands down he will go down as one of the greatest pitchers ever, has every single pitch in the book with perfect control and power, plus he can hit like a beast.

Clayton Kershaw is the best pitcher in this world.XD
Might as well give him the 2014 Cy Young as well.
As you wish!
We have to win a Championship soon for Clayton. Best player since Valenzuela
la dodgers 4 life No since Koufax! I am a Yankee fan and I still think this!!!
He's well on his way to winning the Cy Young this season.
Kershaw might go down with the most unhittable curveball in MLB history at this rate. That pitch is too nasty
my all-time favorite pitcher on my all-time favorite team
go LA we will make it all the way in 2014 (opening day is in a few days)
I'm a die-hard Padres fan and a Dodgers-hater for life, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for Kershaw.
PADRESCHARGERS4EVER ofc you hate the dodgers your an ignorant padres fan
Lol he rounded the bases so fast after that dinger. I wonder if he regrets not savoring that moment a little more lol.
He’ll hit another one or two this season watch.
Although is isn't as good like this now he's still my hero and favorite player
Kershaw throws nasty breaking and curve ball and Good job on the no hitter and scoreless streak.
There is only one thing Kershaw is missing, and someday I want to see him achieve it. "World Series Ring"
that some day may be later this month! Dodgers are on one amazing roll right now!
Jack Son well we got next year
Jack Son no
He got it
He's handsome, can score with your self, can hit the homerun, and Cy Young? The god gave him too much lol
Since Kershaw has debuted in the MLB, only TWO (2) hitters have been able to hit a home run off his curveball. 👏
I know one of them was posey, but who was the other one?
The other is Brandon Hicks. The only two to do it have been Giants lol
That's truly incredible
Isn't it four now? Randall whatever his last name is and Matt Adams
lame
That line drive scared the shit out of him
That line drive would scare anybody.
GOAT
Clayton Kershaw's 12-6 Curveball is just NASTY
Clayton Kershaw congratulations on that no hitter complete game you just pitched against the rockies :)
懷念
一年比一年誇張的Kershaw
I feel like this era Kershaw is what the Giants thought they were getting in Barry Zito haha
And I’m a huge BZ75 fan
0:40 haha I was at that game!!! Opening Day 2013!!!
Great vid but i wasn't a fan of the music. why drown out the Vin Scully commentary with maclemore
Bruh is “Macklemore”
The sound of the game is enough - like your camping and want to hear the wind and birds and the knucklehead next to you has music blasting
I'm somewhat envious of Dodgers fans that get to witness his performance every time he's on the mound. Only time I get to see him is when he's shutting down the Giants.
Kershaw is unfair.
more Kershaw than I will see until October and that's IF the dodgers make it. thanks time warner!
3:18-3:24, 2 absolutely just beautiful breaking balls
time to put a solid dip in for kershaw, its the right thing to do
Love that camera angle from Pirates game. You could really appreciate the action on those pitches... 3:18
great pitcher
BEAST! DODGER FOR LIFE!
I went to this game. 🔥
Me too! I legit was there thinking he was going to throw a no-hitter!
The 🐐
Hey Circa! Glad you think so. Check out Clayton finally win a championship 🐐💍🏆 czcams.com/video/pD3ugrK_Ibo/video.html
The Brett Favre of baseball..

GOO MOE
Anyone going to give credit to the catcher blocking the ball lol? Kershaw' curveball is so nasty
that curveball!!!!
KKKKKKKKKershaw!
Clayton CHOKEshaw!
you should put Clayton Kershaw 2013 cy young highlights
as it is called Song Video? please
No-hitter tonight yes
Please let me know the last song.
That curveball should be a crime. Hurting too many batters.
I prefer to see that curveball as a work of art
his slider and curveball is probably the second most unhittable pitch in MLB history
behind Mo` s cutter.
illest lefty in the game.
This was the best Dodgers team in years in my opinion. shame we fuckin choked in October again
King Chen 2017 dodgers are looking really good this year too. Better than 2013 dodgers for sure.
Patrick Faynor Mets fan here. This is your year
Andy rough time to be a mets fan
Quein conoces espanol?
Cant wait to be able to pitch like that mann hes the best pitcher!!!
What is the final music?
music (in order)- Can;t Hold Us- Macklemore
Don't Stop The Party- Pitbull
Dynamite- Taio Cruz
Nice curveball and slider
wow i don't remember the exact minute, but he made a fork ball.....the batter was like...rly dude?
0:46 BENNY YES!
I enjoyed Vin Scully more than the video. Nasty Curve Tho
Hes best pitcher for the LOS ANGELES DODGERS!!!! I hope they are going to resign him coming soon before the 2014 season start.
inagine if ge had heat of orchapmans heat 😮
hey man can you make a jarrod parker highlight video hes my favorite pitcher
sure man. i got victorino and then weaver. i'll do him after i'm done with them
ok thx man nice videos by the way
thnx :)
Dammmm!
That is some deceiving windup there XD
There's sure a lot of GIants clips in this. Kershaw has an awesome curve ball, but when was the last time they won the World Series??
jon0807 2017
i feel bad for the catcher... how is he able to stop that curveball!
Yeah but Kershaw's only "The Greatest of all Time! And I personally saw lots of Koufax vs Marichal duels at The Stick growin up in SF! "Juan" wasn't too bad either! Koufax: Best I ever saw 63-66 until Kersh came along! But it took 50 yrs is all! Dammmm!
Johnny Guit kershaw is probably the best since randy johnson
Johnson relied on heat, Kershaw is more finesse, which makes him more of a pitcher and less of a thrower.

;-)
im a lefty and my sinker Is nasty
Corlos G. K
Tulowitzki K
Bryce Harper K
3 Great hitters struck out.
For shame.
Its not like they never get struck out
The songs are too good even the second one. (I don't know what its called) But Clayton Kershaw had I think 5+ complete games. And it has a lot of his cy young highlights. (I think the third song is the best.) anyway, he is a very good. Oh, crap I just the song in my head.=)
what is a Cy young
An award. and a legend that pitched long ago they named the awars after him
+Mario Alvarez thank you don't think I don't play baseball j do and I'm good my dad was drafted but I just didn't know what Cy young mean idk why
a 500 game winner kind of will do that! ;) I wonder if there will ever be a Kershaw award...
lmao 4:16.. never seen that shit before. Nice try, & he still got the out anyway!
Man, Kershaw reminds me of Peyton Manning. He's so great in the regular season, but chokes in the playoffs. How could a pitcher be so dominant in the regular season and then pitch like a single A pitcher in the postseason?..
Just like the Seahawks had all of Manning's audibles down. Omaha = Interception...
As a Dodger fan, I hope you're right...
nlds game 1 was just crazy, but in game 4 he was on 3 days rest and at 100 pitches, that wasn't choking that was being physically incapable, one of Kershaw's losses to st Louis in the postseason was a 1-0 game, and Mattingly using Kershaw so long didn't make too much sense to me because even in the regular season he has had struggles against them, like Zack Greinke who is my favorite pitcher has struggled against Arizona in his career there's just some teams that have that pitcher figured out, and sorry for the long ass comment
felix123220 I just witnessed Bumgarner pushed to the limits. I guess some guys have it...
well im not even badmouthing bumgarner, and he didn't make 100 pitches on short rest
Why we do life? Lol
That 12-6 curve is so disgusting
it's almost sickening to see the dodgers starters lineup. ace after ace..........
Madison Bumgarner may be a playoff stud, but career numbers, Kershaw is the better left-handed starter.
No sh*t, haha! Kershaw is the better pitcher, not just left-handed starter.
Very deceptive delivery.
