This song changes from being about being young to being about getting old. It's a brilliant transition lyrically.
Autumn closing in…
@@conureron3792 and winter is coming...but is how it is
@@alansmith7626 And winter arrives.
One of the best songs that evokes that kind of happy/sad nostalgia….and a yearning for times past. As you get older, it gains ever more emotional power.
Amen
Bob Seger is America's soundtrack of all time ❤️
Bro's, his "Hollywood Nights", "Katmandu" and "Old Time Rock and Roll" are next for you!! Great singer, man were we spoiled in the 70s with amazing music!
Those are all great and classic.
There are sooooo many choices.
Hollywood Nights next, for sure! Also Mainstreet!
What about Betty Lou?
And "Main Street"!!!!!!
Bob Seger is a music legend. It is so remarkable how he finishes this song. When you think it's over he continues which is a treat. Another favorite of mine from Bob Seger is AGANIST THE WIND oh I forgot RAMBLIN' GAMBLIN' MAN.
Guys us, now in our 40s, connected to our distant fathers through songs like this. Road trips and music. Perfect memories.
This is my favorite song of his, I was lucky as a preteen that my siblings were 10 and 12 years older than me and married, they influenced my music and took me to concerts. I was at "Live Bullet" at 11 years old and this came out a few months later.
Agreed, best song ever, the passion, memories, feelings in general, so powerful‼️
This song. Is about learning those “night moves”. First time intimate relationships. Being young and finding your way around a man/woman’s body. Connecting and perfecting those dots. Precious memories. Melancholy for sure.
Thinking back to 1972...my own memories..my own night moves lol! Love Bob!
Bob Segar is a legend !
Turn The Page , Night Moves , Hollywood Nights , Old Time Rock and Roll and so many more .
Every time I hear this song.. I fall in love with it all over again.
This song brings back memories for me. In particular when this came out, I was 18 and living in Nebraska and at the time the drinking age was 19, so buddy and I hooked up with a couple of chicks and drove down to Kansas (In a Chevy van) where the drinking age was 18. On the way there we were playing this album. This song so worked perfectly.😎🎸👌
"I woke last night to the sound of thunder / How far off? i sat and wondered."
Just thinking of that line makes me emotional.
If you guys liked the piano in this song you MUST hear Bruce Hornsby and the Range -- "That's Just the Way it Is"
You'll love the first hit song of his
From the 60's Ramblin' Gamblin'
Man
Against the Wind is another one so relevant to us older people who grew up listening to these albums ... always gets me 🤔😌
My favorite all time Seger song
BOB SEAGER AND THE SILVER BULLET BAND, "NIGHT MOVES".. SAW THEM IN 1997 . ONE OF BEST CONCERT EVER. 👌
Very cool Bob Seger song. Clearly about youth and learning through all of our life experiences. I get the chills too Patrick when he slows it down. Makes me feel very nostalgic for those long ago summer days...🍂
It is interesting how his vocals can be different on different songs, yet you know know instantly that it's him.
Listen to Bob Seger sing…..Old Time Rock and Roll
He is an amazing singer-songwriter! So many great songs. From the Live Bullet Album “Travelin’ Man/Beautiful Loser is one of my favorites. Fire down below, Hollywood Nights, so many more….
Have to remember this song was way before Turn The page. He sings all kinds of music he's a chameleon. I was growing up with him on the radio my teenage years. Now that I'm older (55) the line "with autumn closing in" has much more meaning. He's still making music just put out new album.
Actually Turn The Page was recorded in 1972 and this was recorded in 1976. Possibly the live version of TTP, which was the big hit, came after Night Moves, maybe that's you're thinking. Whatever, they're both classics so it's all good!
@@RicoBurghFan yes the live with all the pictures is what I'm thinking of
@@RicoBurghFan Correct, I was wondering what she/he (Lindsay can be both) was talking about. Actually the most famous version comes from the Live 1975 Detroit Concert. I watched That Darn Cat (Disney) movie and listened to that concert live from Detroit on the radio that night, LOL So, I heard that version live on the radio.
You guys are Really good at breaking down songs!! So maybe the best rock and roll song ever written and perfectly executed is Rock and Roll Never Forgets!! The song is about the love of music and is on Point!!
Love Like a Rock also again a retrospective look at his life
Hollywood Nights for a rocker, Shame On The Moon for a ballad. The first time I saw them do this, just as the song "ends" in the middle all the stage lights went out and two spotlights hit a huge mirror ball above the audience. Suddenly everyone is drifting in a sea of stars and then Bob picks back up with "I woke last night to the sound of thunder.... - an in-f'ing-credible moment.
This song and Bob Seger is a Masterpiece!❤❤
I agree guys, to me Night Moves is his best song, among so many great songs. I remember being young, workin’ on mine while listening to this.
The GREAT Bob Seger from the great state of Michigan!!
Try "Roll Me Away" my fav Seger song. he only has about 75 great songs and 150 good songs to try out.
Nothing better than being a teen, having night moves in the trusty woods. I remember, Lord I remember.
Fantastic song!! Bob Seger was Glen Frey’s Detroit MENTOR! Glen sung background in Ramblin Man! 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
One of my favorite songs & artist of all time. Bob Seger has "that" voice that just hits me emotionally every time.
The more songs you listen to the harder it will be to choose a favorite 😁
You focus on Bob Seger's vocal talents, and rightly so. Obviously, he is an outstanding songwriter/storyteller as well. Thank you for the reaction/review.
The rabbit hole goes deep with Bob Seger. So much great music! Thanks for this classic!
I agree ,this is his best song ,and a great one
We were all doin night moves back in the day ooh yea yea I remember.
This song reminds me of when I was 17 - I loved Bob Seger!
Hey guy's, Bob Segar & the Silver Bullet Band was one of the main bands I would listen to, back in the day. And still do... here's another one "Turn The Page. Live. Bob Segar and Jason Aldean FULL HD" Thanks guys...Great Reaction 🔥💕
Great song. He was great in concert.
Cool reaction! "Night Moves" is such a classic - so full of emotion. Bob Seger is a great storyteller. Agree completely that the background vocals are perfectly balanced. Definitely a car song, with the windows down! I appreciate you guys - thank you!
This one was my dad's favorite. his name was Bob too. always played it. Haha and I was named after. Bob. ✌️😎 Thanks for the groove. He was here today he would have been jammin with us. 🤘🎸
Great reaction guys. As everyone has pointed out Night Moves is a double entendre'. Both for shagging when you're young...then the passage of time as you're older. Bob is in both the R&R HOF and the Songwriters HOF. He's that guy
BOB is a legend and even as accomplished and well known as he is is still imo underrated
Against the wind!!!
Thank you in advance.
Shame on the moon, Fire down below, Horizontal Bop, so very many to mention.
Try fire lake by bob seger great song !!!!!
This song is 10/10. Even so, my favorites are “Roll Me Away” and “Still The Same”. “Main Street” is close behind. Try any of them please!
You gotta do……Main Street. Great song from a memory of a young man. Wonderful. You will love.
Bob's vocals and piano are mesmerizing in this classic. I still love it 45 years later. First teen love/sex is a timeless theme in various art forms. This was a huge hit when I was a young teen when this song came out in December 1976; it was recorded in my home city of Toronto. It is his best and most popular tune though Turn the Page is a very personal tune and a close second. Hollywood Nights is another great one by him.
His ability to sing emotionally is what makes him sound different. Please listen to his"Fire Lake" , "Roll Me Away" or my theme song "Her Strut"
Dudes, you guys brought me back. I think Bob Seger was the 3rd concert I ever went to back in the late '70s. Great show.
Love you guys.
Roll Me Away, Hollywood Nights, Horizontal Bop, Betty Lou, Feel Like a Number and about 50 more great songs……
Have you guys ever heard of The World Series Of Rock? It was all day long festival event of many great performers, kind of like a smaller Woodstock. August 1977, Cleveland Municipal Stadium is when I saw J Geils Band, Rick Derringer, Bob Seger, and Peter Frampton. All these incredible rock and roll artists on one single day with probably 100,000 fans. It was a great time to be alive!
Hey Bros! Definitely check out "Main Street" and "Hollywood Nights" by Bob as well!!!
RIGHT ON GEORGE, WAY TO GO! :) AND THE WHOLE ALBUM IS AWESOME FROM 76, OUR BICENTENNIAL YEAR! :) FIRE DOWN BELOW, SUNBURST, MAINSTREET, ETC!
I agree this is his best song!!
You would love his song MAIN STREET. He paints 🎨 a picture in this storytelling song. Love your channel ❤ 💕 ♥ 💖 💗
Bravo to you guys. You're the only reaction video to this song who makes a point of the background choral voices - which I feel moves this song from an A to an A++.
Crazy good song hear his best love you
"Ramblin, Gambin, Man"........great song!!
Man I was born in Detroit and I saw him live for the double bullet concert what a time to be young
Try Like a Rock, Ramblin Man, Brave Strangers , but I agree this is my favorite song. Takes all of us back to our youths and young lust.
You have to play "Her Strut". You'll love it!
"Hollywood Nights" is a great story song, with high tempo.
Love Bob Seger. Seen him in concert. Awesome voice. MOLLY HATCHET: Flirtin with Disaster (no brakes)
👍GOOD Suggestion
Great choice to review. He was the godfather of soul rock.
My honey played guitar with Bob In the 80's.
All time classic from an all-time legend. I just turned 50 and about to hit 51 and the song hits different as you get older it's not just about the actual changing of the seasons it's about getting older. I love it how Bob takes us to church at the end of this song :-)
Can't go wrong with Bob Seger. Check out "Like a rock "
Against The Wind is my favorite by Bob.
Absolutely one of the best!
I remember when this song came out. I was too young (12) to really understand what it was about, but I loved the song so I used my allowance to buy the album. Obviously, my mother didn't pay attention to the lyrics when I would play this song.😁
Seger wrote this song about his high school years in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The song explores the promise of youth, and what Seger calls his "awakening" after being a quiet, awkward kid for most of his youth.
The actual street Seger sings about in this song is Ann Street, which was off of Main Street in Ann Arbor.
What I love about his songs is that they all have a story to tell.
Captivating.Brilliant!!!
This is a great song Bob is one of the greatest singers can you possibly do a song he sings If I Were A Carpenter from 1972
Ain't it sweet to reminisce
Please do more Bob Seger, mainstreet, blame it on midnight, rock and roll never forgets.
Against the wind
One of my favorite songs. Period.
We've got tonight I fell on love to that song
Ah yes bros!! Good’ole Mr Seger. Thank you guys this song always brightens my day. Rock on bros!!¡
"Night Moves" is definitely on my list of 'songs worthy of rolling down your car windows and cranking up the volume" for. "Hollywood Nights" is on that list too. They never get old
It's certainly his most famous song.
I get chills and a tear in my eye every time I hear this song. 60 years old now and it hits me now as a did back then.
Great reaction, fellas. Unbox "Hollywood Nights". Your toes will be tappin'. Keep up the good stuff.
Another LEGEND. Gotta LUV this guy
A MUST hear is “Old Time Rock and Roll”.
Great song choice
🐥🇨🇦🐥hugs all.
Wait til you get to ‘Like a Rock’. 🔥🔥🔥
That’s the one I love most - timeless.
That one does it for me too ♥️
Feeling it is what counts!😁😘❤️🇺🇸
Welcome to the rabbit hole. Seger has tons of material. Old Time Rock and Roll was featured on Risky Business with Tom Cruise.
Guys you must hear Travelin’ Man/Beautiful Loser next. Two songs, but typically played together. It will add to your confusion on which you think you prefer….. great reaction guys, thanks!
My favorite song of Bob Segar is Against the wind
Check out - "Against The Wind", "Hollywood Nights", and from "LIVE BULLET" - “Travelin’ Man/Beautiful Loser". Oh, and "Fire Lake" and "Blame It On The Moon".
This is also an easy one to play on guitar, Patrick. Would love to see you play and sing this one.
Atmosphere off the charts, adored your reaction ❤❤❤
Please react to "Fire Down Below" by Bob Seger. I think you will love it!
I would say Roll me away, fire lake and Main Street should be next.
Great reaction guys try his song Main Street you won't be sorry
♫ Hollywood Nights ♫
Bob seger my first albums (i grew up suburb of Detroit) - play songs from live bullet - his live music is the best
Fire Lake, Against The Wind, Her Strut, so many classics by him!!
You haven’t heard enough of him yet to say your favorite is this song. Although it is a great one! Check out roll me away or for a more rockin’ song try Her Strut. Or my fav. Travelin’ Man / Beautiful Loser from Silver bullet live!
