- I came for the first time to Brazil, Rio de Janeiro! Again, I am trying to discover the best hidden gems for you and I had a great time doing that. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see any of the famous sightseeing spots, like Christ the Redeemer etc. Also, the hotel I stayed at, was one of the worst places I had booked. (The one in New York has to come first though!) All of the things that went wrong, were partly my own fault, so I'm going to take it as a lessen and will learn from it. That's very normal in life and especially when travelling.

It depends on the time of the year. During summer it’s hard, indeed, but in other seasons it’s not necessary.
@@luke83rj I guess I just assumed it was a 'very' hot and muggy kind of weather place. Like Florida. Here, it's Christmas time, and I'm still in shorts. lol The summers can be brutal.
@@Chuck8541 it’s extremely hot here from december until march, then it is mild and in the winter it can get a little bit cold like 15 celsius, but not that much.

If you're careful... as everywhere. Some areas are safer than others.

@@arunachalvlogger9043 I know it's not an elaborate answer. But apart from "you have to be careful" I'm not sure what to say :) I was most of my time in my hotel and working ...
Leblon and Ipanema are 'tourist safe neighborhoods', Gávea, Copacabana, Botafogo and Jardim Botânico are considerably safe. In general, Rio is quite safe for a tourist if you move by taxi at night and, during the day, don't leave valuables on display when you're walking in the streets.

I would be more careful in South America, yes. I felt safer in other countries than in Brazil, to be honest. But when I film, I'm very careful. I don't use my phone to film. I would keep it in your bag. I use my camera, but only when I know no one's arround or close by. I would be very careful in crowded areas or areas where you have lot's of tourists.
Super great video and ( copacabana beach in rio de janeiro, brazil is great and there is classico beach club and the sheraton grand rio hotel and resort and they eat baja sauce nick texas pete hot sauce and they great street party's in brazil ) and ( i have international hidden beachfront resort casinos all around the world)

As a brazilian, I have to emphasize that Rio doesn't mirror the rest of Brazil, at all. Visit the southern states, and I assure you'll have a much better experience compared to Rio. Some cities you should consider visiting: Balneariu Camburio, Canela, Florianopolis, Curitiba, Blumenau.
I know :) I don't generalize, just bc I made one bad experience and not all of Rio is bad. It's a great city!
Echt überrascht wie leer die Copacabana war. Ich hätte erwartet, dass der Strand deutlich voller ist, gerade jetzt im Sommer. Ansonsten sah Rio aber trotzdem ganz nett aus.
Ich war sehr frueh bei deim Strand. Eigentlich wollte ich sogar noch frueher hin um z.B. den Sonnenaufgang zu sehen, aber ich war diese letzten Tage zu muede :)
