Are you serious? This song is not melodic. It's like fucking listening to the same fucking note the whole song. Just like any trash pop songs, it just sounds catchy the first time you hear it. After 4 or 5 times of listening, any person with a good taste of music will find it boring

Tucker Logan not to mention that a lot of artists lower the key of the song a bit when they perform live, because a lot of singing can really put strain on the vocal cords and make it harder to hit those high notes
Yes, I have produced music. I used "auto tune" generically in my comment to include pitch correction. The bonnaroo sounds fine, but as a native Tennessee resident I know very well that there has been lip syncing before. It means nothing. No need to be very defensive on the topic. i am simply pointing out the obvious. I have toured Canada, USA and Costa Rica. I understand the strain on the vocals. He is not belting, is using his head voice mostly, and has all reason to use his core throughout the vocal performance. Point being, if his vocals were strained sometimes, I could see 30% of the videos at most being lowered a few frets, but instead the majority are lowered - hinting to a stretch in vocal capabilities. i was simply disappointed as I fell in love with this song and hoped it was more organic than it turned out to be. Nevertheless, still a great song. Cheers
I think I'm going to do a cover of this song and post it online. The key used on the radio version of this song is a really got fit for my natural voice. Since I'm a female, I can sing it in my chest voice without using falsetto and it sounds a lot like his radio version. It sounds fine, but makes me wonder if I have too manly of a voice LOL. ;)
you have no idea how hard it is to keep such a high pitch when you have been singing for days.....I had to sing in a play and by the fourth night my voice could not reach the high notes I can hit....unless you are a singer you will never understand the strain your voice goes through.....so he brought his voice down a key....it happens...doesn't mean he can't sing
