    I think Germany is very similar to Denmark in relation to be noticed with camera. Can be very difficult unless it is a Pride parade or something similar. This means that you have to be very discrete. Out of Copenhagen it is almost impossible. Summer with more tourism also make things easier.

    People in Germany are very conscious about their privacy. The laws regarding privacy are also very strict in Germany. You can't publish people's pictures without their consent except in very limited circumstances from what I know. This all comes from a history of surveillance heavy regimes in Germany. (The Nazis, and the East German government)

    Nice one! I liked these ones! My favourites were #11 (the black open jacket guys) and #17 (the two middle fingers guy)... questions: 1) do you travel to these cities just for street photography or for other reasons and you do some street photography when you're there? 2) when you travel to new cities for street photography, do you research where to go first or just go in and figure it out on the day?

    • @OctavianCarare
      @OctavianCarare  Před rokem +1

      Thanks ! Glad you liked the 11 and the 17 :) . 1. I do travel to this cities on my own expenses yes (and my budget for this year is depleted :)) ), it's half for visiting and half for doing street photography. 2. Well before going to London I looked on CZcams to POV street photography videos and didn't find something noticeable unfortunately. I do some research where are the potential good areas to shoot but I mostly spend the time in the busy and touristic areas. Sometimes I just figure it out by walking a lot during the day and just stay in a place that it's bubbly and with potential. BUT ideally it would be to meet a local street photographer, that's the best scenario :). Cheers

    Nice video, thank you. As mentioned in some of the comments below streetphotography in Germany can be a bit annoying. For the photographer, that is... there are some strict rules to obey, at least if you want to publish your photos one way or the other. If you keep them for yourself and do not show them to anybody nearly everything ist perfectly legal, as far as I know. But be it as it may, I would never, never, never dare to point my camera towards strange children (your picture of the fountain) and take pictures of them. German parents might kill you or at least suspect you of child abuse. And THEN kill you...

    • @OctavianCarare
      @OctavianCarare  Před 7 měsíci

      Thank you Martin ! I would really want to know what happens from a legal point of view if you consider your street photography art, therefore you have an artistic initiative on the public space that includes people as well (not one but a group of people let's say). I will never hesitate pointing my camera to photograph kids AS LONG as their face is not entirely visible on my pictures :) I value a lot the privacy of kids and I never or rarely post pictures with them :). And again, if somebody is concern about me taking people of their kids, they are entirely in their right to come to me (NOT TO KILL ME :) ) but to ask me why do I take pictures of them. It seems reasonable and I can explain and show the result :). Thanks for the feedback Martin :)
