If I had to put an explanation for that -- it would be that he's going home to his family and hanging out with his brother who he loves. In Episode 128 of the original series (timestamp 16:56), Sasuke says that his dream lies in the past. That and being a child, I doubt it would cross his mind that he looks kind of goofy, especially around people he trusts.
@@SoulElement It's sort of the same thing with Ichigo from Bleach. Both he and Sasuke were very happy kids because they had good lives and people they loved but when that gets taken away by tragedy, everything changes. Granted, both characters evolve from different circumstances but that fact stays true.
I mean, Sasuke lost everything, Ichigo still have his family, not really the same.

Also in that book its explained Shisui did not just jump off a cliff because he thought on a whim about dying over losing one eye, he was poisoned by one of Danzo's ANBU henchman. Whom Itachi kills at the end of the same novel I quote "for Shisui", he burns the man alive. So not so sure Itachi didn't experience hate, Shisui and jealousy were just immaturity normal for a 7 year old (with GREAT consequences might I add).

Honestly though, Shisui was ridiculously strong. I'm tempted to say right here at about age 15 he was stronger than Itachi at his time of death (considering disease and all), since while poisoned, after exhausted from battling for hours and lacking an eye he managed to summon the susanoo (plus had it do the cool ray jutsu thing it did) and he would have been ready to go on for longer if Itachi hadn't come in to rescue him.
It's like 🤔 Jeez. It makes you wonder how great his power could have been at its peak with him.fully rested and charged. Far greater than any of us could even imagine.

I think this scene has much more meaning than people give credit for, I believe that Shisui intentionally made Sasuke say that Itachi was stronger than him, and Itachi noticed that during 2:24. Maybe Shisui wanted to say that he believes Itachi is strong and wants he's friend to admit it.
