This track right here single-handedly lifted me out of a depression of a dark point in my life. I forgot the name to this song, went crazy trying to look for it, and I found it again.
I love it to but wtf haha did you go out on a killing spree and robb shit ?
Actually I have a pretty similar experience. this song kept me alive when i worked at wendys after a break up. I had to move in with my mom and i was in a newish place and things were weird. I moved to a city afterwards and in between a year i couldnt remember the name of this song but i had the first beat stuck in my head. it drove me nuts for a month but i obviously found it again 😂

True. But the most of us Never Left!! Still I’m glad that younger kids & new generations, who didn’t grow up listening to these artists are, like you said: are coming back around to real hip hop!!

Hip Hop is a way of life, It's a vibration we all gravitate towards and rock to. Peace and love to all my brothers in this chat keeping the underground alive.
Thanks - there's nothing to add to your comment - nailed it!
Another timeless east coast classic, like most 90s east coast rap you can feel wintertime in this tracks DNA. Heavy rain/snow during the blackest winter makes this era of hip hop go different some how...
That’s the truth
Word 🫡
That horn is just ridiculous, this right here is the JOINT!!!
that horn, i was thinking exactly the same thing.
Completely sick production/composition all together! Chants, horns, baseline, that flow, perfect blend
Bro the whole joint is just ridiculous!!
JOINT!!!
Definitely!
This song is almost 30 years old, I am 24, I am so glad I stumbled upon this, it's like a breath of fresh air, today's rappers are good but their songs die after a 2-3 month period because there is no real meaning behind the lyrics.
Same
Damn youre right about that. They really just be saying anything that rhymes, but none of it is relatable or holds any truths.
Lasting for a 2-3 period is exactly what makes them shitty emcees. They’re fads that don’t last long bc the have no substance. Their music has no soul. It’s all about the money. Where’s 69 now? Who knows and who gives a shit? That’s where wack ass “rappers” like him are. The underground is where it’s at. It should stay there so it won’t get infected.
i'm 13

my dad tried to keep me a normal kid but the blunts and cadi cruisin was a callin
Nah gotta at least Introduce. They trying to silence the voice of these Gods. Hip hop is forever!
don´t do that...when my dad died, I was standing in front of about 2500 records...some 500 of them I knew...I got no clue what treasures where lost when my mom decide to "clean out"...I just know that "Rare Bird" is gone...and yeah, it´s that: rare.

@Heavy Storming Yeah you're right. What a pleasure to spend my Saturdays in different record shops digging crates and finding vinyl EPs & LPs that even the owner of the shop rediscovered when I was listening to them 👌🏽
The late afternoon was the time to visit the usual local record shops. Small town, only 5 shops... now there's only one left, selling the usual commercial stuff you find on SpitofI. Sad !!!
In ( ) the philosophy behind East-Flatbush Project (featuring local Brooklyn rappers) was really cool.
