  • Welcome to this quick one of me buying a brand new Aprilia Tuareg 660 and comparing it to my previous mid size adventurebike Yamaha Tenere 700.
    These bikes are probably the closest rivals on the market today so I thought I would give the Tuareg a go as it seems to fit my hand a bit better.
    I hope you enjoy the video. I will do a lot more content with the Tuareg so stay tuned and post your video wishes to the comments below. Please Yamaha fanboys don't hate me too much.. I still like the Tenere and feel sad about letting it go. But as I don't have the finances to own all of them sometimes this is a necessary action :-)

    They both look nice, the Tenere has better reliability reputation. But the TUAREG is the better bike in every other aspect. This is as proven by the many professional bike testers. And for me, the Tenere is too top heavy to give any confidence, on road, or off.

    Great choice the Tuareg 660. Had one last year and enjoyed every minute of riding it, included quick shifter, did 3000 miles and didn’t have one single issue with it, just to be sure check the engine bolts and water pump housing mine wasn’t torqued quite exactly which could have had future issues but for the fact I went over the bike after 600 mile service which my uk dealer should have really done but you will love that suspension it’s fantastic, enjoy the bike, ride safe PB!

    I was very close to buy an Aprilia i.s.o my Tenere as Aprilia is for sure a better bike. But the design is really bad imo and I really trust the reliability of the CP2 engine in the Tenere. Buying a bike isn’t always based on facts but also feelings. I want to turn around and look at my bike after a stop. Wouldn’t do that on the Aprilia. But for sure Aprilia is bang for the buck. Congratulations to your purchase.

    People will hate this, but is it worth 3 x MT450s? I know the power, but apart from that, you buy an MT450 and probably just as reliable and capable off road. And even if you drop it, thrash it and get half what you paid, can afford to have 2 bikes then one 660.

    • @PatchedBandit
      @PatchedBandit  Před měsícem +1

      I already had a bmw 650 GS Sertao which had the same power to weight ratio to that MT450.
      If you value only getting from a to b then you probably don't see the point in paying more. But we all have different ways of valuing a motorcycles we buy. I would not swap the Tuareg away for 3, MT450's baceuse I value the power and cabability this bike offers. 😄
      I can also buy 15 bicycles with this money. Meaning these bikes are not really a fair apples to apples comparison you are making.

      Aprilia engine is not in any way a copy of the CP2. And similarities between the bikes end in weight and category. Aprilia created Tuareg to directly compete with the T7 yes. But in all other aspects it is an aprilia entry to this segment of bike. Even though similar there are nothing same about these bikes.

      Best decision you could’ve made 👍
      If your not 6’2” & taller & weigh 200 lbs or more, the T7 is way to big.
      The bike is built for giants 😅😂🤣

    The Tenere 700 is one of the only tall person motorcycles from the factory. If you're tall over 6' , don't even bother looking at the tuareg or transalp, they're too small.

      That may be the case you are right. At least some changes are needed.

      No problem with that :) My decision was purely due to personal taste and my proportions as a rider.

      Ha a videót számítógépen nézi meg, vagy az automatikus fordítást választja, majd válassza a Magyarországot. A listán szerepelnie kell. A fordítás azonban nem tudja, hogyan kell lefordítani azt a részt, ahol finnül beszélek az eladóval.
      Ezekhez a videókhoz kézzel készítettem angol szöveget, de túl sok munka volt, ezért abbahagytam.

    The T7 is a 💯 times more top heavy.
    Go lean one over, & you might bust a 🥜
    Tuareg feels way lighter, has better turning radius, seat is a thousand times better, suspension is night & day better.
    Only thing better on the T7 is low end torque, ONLY thing!
    But overall power Tuareg kills the T7 💪
    Riden both, back to back.

      @PatchedBandit  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I had ridden the Tuareg a couple times before but the turning radius still surprised me. I'm not sure if it's just easier to turn as the weight is better balanced on the frame or what but you are correct the bike is very easy to ride slow and turn around.

      @@PatchedBandit It’s lower center of gravity & the lock to lock steering is sharper on the T660. All an around better.

    Tenere 700 is bad enginered with very poor suspension and other equipment which noone would buy, and you need replace half of motorcycle . The most overpriced motorcycle i know, tenere 700. Im owner 2022 model.
