Also I think Vando does more good things in the starting lineup than Rui. Vando protects DLo/Austin at SF, plus last year over 16 games, Vando was good offensively (7pt 5reb 60%+ shooting, 55%+ from 3.) Like people said, if Austin & DLo start, Vando should start for a better overall 1st quarter consistancy. Then Rui in for Bron at his first rest time, Christie in for DLo, Gabe in for Austin, either Hayes or Wood in for AD. There are your 11 guys who will play most rotation minutes as things stand now. Will need to probably swap Wood for Jonas if that trade happens, plus get someone cheap to replace Gabe as backup up PG. I think this team with decent health and caoching can win 50-52 game this year despite how good or bad the West is this year.
As far as a gap it is on offense between Rui n Vando it is on defense . Not saying Rui bad but Rui isn’t guarding any position over the 3. Vando can guard guards. Rui isn’t even gone guard all the 3’s either . Michael porter Jr as we seen. So that gap is just as big on both sides
