That's amazing, Kelly! 👏 👏👏I'll be making one of these for myself and maybe even a couple of birthday gifts this year. I've wanted a stove cover but just didn't feel like I wanted to pay for what everybody's asking. THANKS FOR FEATURING THIS VIDEO, SO I'D NOTICE IT. I'm thinking of you and your family and keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I know all too well how badly you're hurting. Upcoming Feb 25 will be 13 years since I lost my son Amos in a wreck. He was 27 and left two babies behind. It's been so hard. So Sweetie, take things slow and easy. Take all the time you need and know how many prayers are going up for you. You are so loved! ❤🙏🏼✌️

I usually do not leave comments but I couldn't help myself this time. I watch all your videos that I can cause you have an amazing imagination and creativity that most people just could only dream to have. I really like the styles and colors of your projects and I dont stress because you explain in great detail every step. This stove top cover is really nice and in no way would I think possible to make from items from the dollar tree, but again you showed amazing creativity and ingenuity and made the impossible become possible. I will be making me a stove top cover soon because of your video. Thank you for sharing with everyone these great diy's, I look forward to each and every one.

First let me say thank you so much for your kind kind words. There are so many times where I read comments that I’ve helped a subscriber in one way or another but it’s important for me to let you all know that there are times when I doubt what I’m doing or maybe from time to time let a not so nice comment get to me but then along comes a comment like yours and it reminds me why I’m doing what what I’m doing and it’s for the exact reason you stated because I want people to know that they can’t have nice things and with a little DIY and they can save a lot of money and anybody can DIY and it’s important for me that people know that and that I show people! So thank you again for this comment because I needed it today❣️❣️❣️

I think these stove top pieces are pretty for sure. I just wondered how often do you use your stove top and what do you do with it when you are cooking? To me it would be kind of awkward to have to remove it every time you cook and have to wait for your stove to cool down before you put it back in place. I do love how it turned out, and the way you made it with Dollar Tree supplies is amazing. I love how you were able to make this project do-able for someone that doesn't have access to a lot of woodworking tools. You did a great job on this one Kelly. Yes I have seen these pieces for sale on Etsy and they are very expensive.

There was a comment posted that this was a Fire Hazard! NO IT IS NOT! I DO NOT have a PILOT LIGHT on my Gas Stove, I have an igniter! 😍💖💖💖💖 I love this! I did one about a year ago all out of tumbling tower blocks and Ive already trashed it! No matter what I did I couldn't support the weight of the blocks in the middle of the top piece. It was gorgeous!! but it was totall warped and sunk in all over. i'll have to start over this way. Plus mine was way too heavy!!

Hey Kelly! How has the piece held up after a year? I'd love to do this for my nana but wondering how it would hold up long term. Thank you! 😊

My thoughts too. It’s great for a stove cover but is the thin wood strong enough for setting pots or serving bowls or other things on?

Very cute! I got the same stencils at Walmart for $2.00, on clearance, and I get free wood at Home Depot, that they discard.

@@hannahismylastname1420 I'm sure they do. My grandson Logan told me about it when he was younger, and he would go there on Saturdays to make free wood crafts!

I'm not sure why I've never considered making myself 1 of these. I LOVE this idea. I'm thinking I used the excuse that I rent & even though it's NOT a super expensive project I know the possibility that if I move it may not fit my next stove. Recently I was lucky enough to find a fairly large bamboo cutting board. This video instantly came to mind and I was able to make myself a mini version so to speak. It's a piece that I can take with me no matter where I live. Thank you for the inspiration.

I don’t know if you have ever heard of Un Do; it’s a remover that works for all types of adhesive and is great for removing photos in old albums. I use it all the time. It’s archival and will not damage pictures or collage items. Anyway, I think it would work to remove stickers, etc on these types of products that would eliminate sanding.
