@@mysticmac01 same thing happened to me, I was trying to kill an overlord, forgot about my caragor and captain. 1 hour later I'm about to get executed and I get saved. Love how much more fleshed out the army functions are in this game
This is one of the games that makes me think " How the hell can people give this a bad rating."
It was because of the initial monetisation model which they took out about a year or two later
They cant afford the humble bundle price or missed it and they are mad at spending money on such a video game gem

Me too.
Once, I was so pissed at a captain who had killed me that I subsequently hunted him down and shamed him several times over until he had lost over 20 levels. At that point, his mind completely broke. It was then that I finally allowed him to die... meaning that I brutally murdered him. Probably the most ruthless thing I’ve ever done in a game 😈

I bought ONE look box.... that was from scraping the old weak gear. Got two captains. You don't need the boxes broski's, the whole game is meant to be a fun grind.

This game is fantastic and the loot boxes can safely be ignored. TIP 1 should be start on Nemesis difficulty and revel in getting your butt kicked.

I started on brutal and I'm doing pretty good. Started off frustrating but gets easier once you get use to the combat system
I just choose Nemesis mode because it promised the full experience of the nemesis system
Guys i found a way to easily kill war Chiefs overlords and captains
What you do is go somewhere high up where no orc can climb up then use the shadow strike pull to pull the captain overlord or war chief over to you and they will take damage and then it is one vs one meaning no interruptions from other orcs your welcome
If their immune to range it doesn't work
And in the process making the game really boring
But that is part of the game
Another tip you should mention=Rush story long as you get dominate ability, then recruit everything! You will be having wide variety of orcs to compare and experiment
I once fought an olog-hai named... Ur... something. Anyway,he was level 20 whereas I was level 12. He also was an epic captain, and had the epic graug call ability. So what I did was: shoot some meat to lure away the graug, stun the olog, and then ride him away to a safer location. We duel'd for a bit, and I broke him, shamed him, and went looking for him. Then I found him, got chased away by another captain, found him again, got chased away by the same captain, found him once more, almost killed him, dominated him, and commanded him to retreat. You should make a list of Captains Warchiefs and Overlords you have encountered.
I only use specific gems for certain items. All my damage dealing weapons get warrior gems while my armor and cloak get life gems and my ring gets wealth
worst thing is the champions always talk too much... some time it is fun, but all the time i feel like wasting time.
I agree, they talk for ages and theres no way to fast forward.. they are funny but sometimes i just feel like they drag for too long

I like some. I went to interrupt an execution of somebody named Uruk the Moaner. The executioner gave this elaborate speech, and Uruk just moans twice. It made me save him just for that. But if I get a 3-4 page dialogue orc, I kill him. Idc what kind of build it is. Could have no vulnerabilities at all, but if you give me a speech, you die.
It gets frustrating when there's 3 in a row like bro, stfu and fight me.

@@JayKayX71 probably late as it's a week old, but temporarily in act 2 you lose access to the 1st 2 maps and likely a lot of skill points if you dony know about it

I'm late but just now bought the game. I think I'll be doing the perfect counter kill, and ground drain, I really find it difficult to drain mid combat.
You should start on nemesis difficulty aswell, I did and Im level seven and just killed a lvl 24 captain. It teaches you if a battles worth fighting and when to run and heal, it also heightens your reaction time
@@b30roserose26 I started on nemesis. Been playing it the last few days just bouncing between regions doing missions and making spies where I can. My ungol overlord that spawned was a level 36 and I was only level 13 when I unlocked the new regions so it's a start. Only 32 so far

Caragors do instant kills to captains after you knock them down , does not work on beastmasters ,
get a caragor make them howl Twice then u have two caragor following you until they die ,,,,,
The slide to glave attacks is gold . Sliding is everything in this game .
Don’t use perfect counter for kills use it to gain back arrrows.
Find the dagger that does 1 elf shot replenish every 25 sec , re-roll a gain might for every quick throw , use the skill throw 5 daggers at once , and hit one enemy close enough just right , you get full might , and 6 arrows every 35 sec , very nice for early or end game .

Great Game!!! It plays and feels like a good mixture of Batman: The Arkham series and Assassins Creed. With a Far Cry skill tree lol. Fun game to nerd out too

I hate loot boxes but with this game it barely effects the game. Its a Good Game. Its not like Battlefront II
just need to learn to recruit for a few of my legendary weapon finds
The quickest way to level up is to complete all the captain killing/luring out challenges for areas on the map (they have orange chevrons on the map) - usually the XP is between 2,000 - 9,000. It's always handy to bring your best recruited Captain as a bodyguard if things get hairy (I use Epic/Legendary orcs as bodyguards). A couple challenges and you'll level up. Plus you get the loot. The best weapon to defeat Captains in the throngs of orcs is the Glaive with Deadly Striker skill extension (clicking square after creating glaive provides an effective method of crowd control), also 'shadow kill striking' a captain's entire retinue before engaging is a great way to increase your odds. If you issue a Death Threat the captain will show up without his huge retinue and is easier to kill. Recruiting Captains in the middle of big groups of attacking orcs is hard, there is a skill point to increase the speed of Dominate which helps a little, but always good to thin out the crowd a bit. Shooting captains with exploding head shots (Detonate skill) is a great way to stand back and kill from a distance. Even better if they explode and take out nearby orcs too. If you really must engage always sneak up from behind and Brutalise a Captain before finishing him off by pinning his feet (Pinning Skill) and more headshots and a couple executions and maybe some dagger bursts. If a Captain is mounted always kill his Caragor before engaging. If the captain is significantly of higher level then order a couple orcs to kill him, watch them and if they are getting beaten jump in with your bodyguard after healing them and you should overwhelm the fella, you will probably need to shame him to bring I'm down a few levels before trying again to recruit him. If you kill a higher level orc then you get great loot.
Also, before I forget anther 'must have' skill is the freeze skill (use 'circle' during melee combat) and there is an extension of it as a skill where you jump over an orc using 'x' and it freezes them, works on captains too and is great way to kill captains easily because you can do rapid critical hits by tapping square when they are frozen. Freeze them around 2 or 3 times and hit them quickly and they'll be broken.
Hands down my favourite game ive bought this year its such a long game with many side missions to do. If you get bored with this game its your own fault. & no you don’t have to any loot boxes. I only bought two with the in currency i earned over time & realised its way more fun to play without using them. Plus if you save your Mirian upgrades its makes the game a lot better early on for slight advantages
My sword makes it wear my glave charge attack does an explosion, I have an ability the allows me to double charge and the as long as I tap left mouse trigger I can continue with 4 or 5 more explosions. It’s really powerful

Get the instant collect gear skill asap
Stay in Chapter 1 as long as possible, you get a lot of EXP and items by killing captains and they stay pretty weak

i had like 3 captians turn up once in one nemisis mission i took out two...
Talk about difficulty. There have already been two early on fights that have made we want to rip my hair out. It's fun but reminds me why I hated the beginning of the first game times ten.
Ya, the difficulty curve at the beginning is wack, once you get a few skills it's better but man its brutal at the beginning

I wake up wanting to play this for the combat alone. It’s really fluid and i really like mowing down orcs over and over again.
This game does have its really tough parts though so make sure you have a variety of weapons to effect a range of enemies. I started a captain battle once & ended up being ambushed by 3 others. Let me tell ya 4 v 1 is tough especially when only 1 of the captains had a lower level than Talion

I wish a lot of games were like this ugh. I felt overpowered and had a lot of fun.
Ultimate Tip: set difficulty to brutal then level up enemy orc captains to lvl 80. Play the missions where two enemy captains are executing, raiding, chasing one another. Do not engage just wait until one or the other die/ flee. You get up either way as long as you don't die. If you set difficulty to normal after every enemy orc captains are max level you can attempt to shame them thus getting XP. Rinse repeat.

This is tutorial stuff the game already tells you. Plus a perfect counter does not kill an orc instantly it throws them on the ground leaving them open for a ground execution. This litterly the game’s explanation for it. It could be an upgrade for the skill but then it would be nice to be informed about that from the guy making the video. FYI tips and tricks involve ways were you personally have found an easy approach to do something. Not just listing the basic most early skills you get. Simple point how do you get them quickly ? Beginners might have a better chance actually getting the skill that way. That could’ve actually been a usefull trick or tip. I see more usefull tips and tricks in the comment section than your entire video.
Perfect counter actually does kill an orc, you're wrong on that one. On the other side, I agree the video is kind of obsolete :)

for you saying it's p2w pls explain how because honestly if your talking online conquest you know nothing about the game.
The defending team don't lose their orcs/warcheifs and overlords so you don't just set up your fort, then leave, then come back to an obliterated army. The only time you lose orcs is when you are the one raiding and you can tell by the defense rating if your ready or not so it's your fault if your army gets decimated.
If you haven't bought the game because of all these people who say it's p2w, don't listen to them I'm pretty sure 99% of people WHO HAVE THE GAME agree that it's not p2w and you still get the full experience without spending a penny.
Well.... kinda is pay to win, a guy paying off to level his orcs faster to faster conquer another castle would be precicely P2W, and if he used real money on his castle it’s still something he paid 4 and didn’t grind 4. Pepole paying their way to the top however, I will agree don’t show off any skills, they show off wallets.
A guy who pays gets legendary orcs almost all the time, with the silver warchests you get epic orcs. So if I paid money to raid your castle and your defense rating goes down because off that(check online button inn pause menu) he kinda paid to get that advantages he had, and you loses defense rating because off it. Thats also 1 reason you are aloved to raid your own castle, to check if your defense rating could increase or not. So, it’s pay 2 win, sinch the payer gets legendaries bo payers gets epic, wich actully have some advantages to the payer. Yeah, you never see any one raiding you, and you can’t defend your castle while anyone is doing so, but it’s the a numbers game to defense/attack stats inn the online part.
ive purposely lost forts and got half the captains worth of their intel each one i hunt and or kill, plus it great to automattically see which orcs of the ones you get info on are worth
Pay to win is having to use money to beat the game, not deciding to use the money on the game, Ive been playing it for hours and I haven't had to buy anything to progress further
Considering you can get legendary orcs if you try yea not pay to win dropped this a couple montha after it came out because it was too easy overlord legendary pretty much the olog-hai equivalent of thanos immune to a lot of stuff very hard to kill assuming u had a snowballs chance of getting that far and guess what not a dime spent just looking dominating the right captains sending them to pits upgrading them and setting your forts up correctly with a little strategy now i hear lootboxes are removed because a bunch of twinkletoes cant handle some basic strategy come on peeps what happened to the days of gaming where you actually had to use your mind instead of your wallet
The fastest way to make Mirian is to do pit fights and sell the weapons you get. Rinse and repeat.

Didn't know about the substat for invisibility. Looks really dirty if you know a captain or overlord's patrol route that doesn't lead him toward buildings or bushes.

I'm trying to do the trophy called vandal where you gotta destroy a monument but there isn't any in my maps so how do I do it I already completed the game btw. and when I do find one It doesn't show me the button to press so I can destroy it so I can't destroy it I already restarted the game and console I need help

Whenever I perfect counter, in my case, Talion stuns an enemy and not execute them but in your video, he's executing enemies. How can I achieve that.

I miss shadow of mordor's rune system made your weapon feel unique.
Salom902 the problem was you had a limited space for how many runes you could hold, so after a while you had to delete the duplicates that took way too long.
Having the same weapons the whole game was way too boring to justify the runes. This game gives you a ton of options with the loot drops.
If you want to recruit Orcs as one of your followers, play through only Story missions until Act 2. Don't be like me where I spent too long in Minas Ithil killing orcs, whilst they get replaced after u die :I.

The game is incredible and does not require you to buy loot boxes at all. Just like overwatch but they’re even less prevalent in this game.
