I wish you lived close to me and would be willing to have an apprentice. Your work, design and craftsmanship are just Amazing and Masterful. No, Doctorful!
That is some fine work, nice tool. The way you worked the steel with a hacksaw and files was impressive. Never underestimate the usefulness of hand tools.
Chris Paul Most of the engineers sit behind the desk doing calculations, writing proposals, drawing up plans or doing field testing so the majority of them don't do stuff like that at work. Plus the unions won't allow the engineers to fabricate anything.
WOW! That is HEAVY DUTY! The sole and chip breaker are STOUT. The iron doesn't look too bad, either. I imagine you won't get much chatter with that. Beautiful work!
Wow, just wow. That's all I can say. SUB'd. I thought your "ice-cream sandwich" marking gauges were really nice, but this chisel plane is even more impressive.
this is what I love. just jumps right into the video without wasting any time with bullshit like intros and unnessasary information! I hope other youtubers start learning from you :)
You have created an heirloom which should be passed down within your family. It is truly beautiful and the work you did was awesome. A big thumbs up from the other side of the pond.
Beautiful plane. That metal work is excellent particularly when it was done by hand rather than a milling machine. That hack saw work would have exhausted me.
Good build. That has got to be the V-8 of Chisel Plane's! The bed, which is the sole being Stainless Steel. Make this one of the strongest I've seen in material. Again, good build.
Extraordinary craftsmanship!!!!That is a beautiful and perfect cutting plane! For the 1/4 20 tap did you use a 13/64 drill bit? And for the 3/8 16 tap did you use a 5/16 drill bit?.
Nice! I bet it’s very heavy (twice that of the Lie-Nielsen?). I’m currently working on some large tenons and would like to be able to plane the cheeks along the grain all the way upto the shoulders.
that's a really sharp looking plane. i like the fact that you took the time to make it look as good as it does. it looks like it wants to be kissed. I'd go one more step, and really polish that thick metal retainer block on top there and put a mirror finish on it so it reflects a lot of light. spray it with a clear spray. drill that round grain pine grain on the handle and replace it with a piece of darker wood like walnut or mahogany. seal it, and polish it. then hide that plane someplace good., because if i see it, I'm taking it. i wont steal it, beacuse I'll tell you I'm taking it......but I'm gonna take it. can you tell i really like the fantastic job you did. you made me want to make one.
Beautiful piece sir. So refreshing to see something crafted using basic tools. Not a CNC in sight!
Sou marceneiro a 35 anos acabei de aprender. Parabéns professor.

Very nicely done
Always such beautiful design. The forms you use in your planes are stunning. Thank you.
Here i was thinking i had found all the awesome woodworkers on youtube... Someone who quietly sings while they work is bound to make poetic pieces!
You deserve a "Like" just for all that hacksawing and sanding! Nice job.

Nicely done
Beautiful art piece
I love it! That stainless is so hard to work but worth it. I always appreciate the irony of using power tools to make hand tools
Except angle grinder... make it pain way with hacksaw.
ironie of using handsaw on such steel quality ? try it
Michal Rimmerak ˋˋ
I have been an engineer for 26 years and I still can't cut that straight with a hacksaw. Top man.

Инструмент очень симпатичный, но редко применяется. Обычно стамеской взял да срезал.

That's a work of art, and so much ingenuity. I bet you go through more hacksaw blades than most :) awesome work
Beautiful work, as usual. Cutting stainless with a hack saw: you've got determination.
So nice!love to see that you only use a few Tools to make this beautyfull things! dont ask for use just enjoy to look at! 😁
Wow - a hacksaw? That's doing the most difficult way possible, better you than me YJ ;-)
Magnificent work Young Je!
Beautiful plane. That metal work is excellent particularly when it was done by hand rather than a milling machine. That hack saw work would have exhausted me.

Excellent craftsman! I'm too old to use a hacksaw for that, switched to a portable band saw a few years ago.
Good build. That has got to be the V-8 of Chisel Plane's! The bed, which is the sole being Stainless Steel. Make this one of the strongest I've seen in material. Again, good build.

You never cease to amaze me.
you have so many kinds of power tools , like bandsaw etc, but you dont have an angle grinder, great hacksaw work!
