Friendly reminder to everyone, don't to this on a daily basis! It's really hard on your horse back and legs to lift their weight along with their own! That being said, I'm not hating on this video in any way! I've done this with my horses before, so I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, just don't do it to often! :)

This is, however, a great piece of training to have on your horse. In case you're out on the trail with people and somebody gets hurt. It is a lot easier to lift a hurt person on the horse that will lay down.

Yes God has! Speak it! Horses in my opinion are truly man's best friend. A dog or any other animal can carry you like a horse can! Well, they cab drag you, but a horse can walk with you on their back for miles! God is AMAZING and made so much with His work!

My horse always started rolling or just lays all the way down and then stays there until I make her get up and she gets up and sometimes bucks She is getting winter sass cause she feels better. Lol very nice training

Eugene Speight With a well trained horse you won’t get kicked in the face just because you stand behind it and really if you’re behind a horse like for instance when they braided the tail you would stand to where you can see the horses eye but a horse doesn’t just kick at your face just because you’re behind it you would have to do something to provoke it also a well-trained horse wouldn’t kick you

Im 5'6" and jump up on 17.2hh shire horses. That being said I have done this a few things with them. Never trained them for it. After the cue, they would wait til im balanced juuuust right before standing up

Everyone is commenting on how cute this horse is and how well trained he is and so on and so forth.. my question is why is the tail braided? Is it for medical reasons?
If not, it needs to be flowing, not braided. The skin of a horse is 10 times more sensitive than human skin and if it stings when WE get hit by a braided tail, can you imagine how it feels to them?
I only braid his tail when I'm working with him. His tail touches the ground when its not braided so it's just so he doesn't stand on his tail and pulls out his hair when backing him up. 😉
