  • Everybody loves the strat sound,I mean who doesn't.
And everybody needs it in the studio
but unfortunately for me they don't fit with my hand I never find one conformable enough to play.
    I know I have a problem ahaha
So out of pure curiosity I tried this guitar and after a Gmajor chords she already was paid.
My name is gianluca pavan I'm from Venice in Italy and I decided to make a living with music again in 2022 after 2020 when I had to leave my professional touring sideman career.

I've got an H-77, it's fantastic for all the same reasons you mention. It's so good it has replaced my Musicman Silhouette as my giiging guitar.

As someone who is just starting out and pickled this guitar up from a vintage shop on a whim, I really appreciated this video.

I had the exact copy of this guitar over 30years ago. Absolute beauty to play

I recently picked up a HSS Hondo strat, also in that red color, in a trade. Boy was I surprised about how nice it really is! You're spot on about the sound, it just has a bit more punch than my Fender MIM strat... a nice middle ground between a LP and normal strat. The Hondo is proudly hanging on the wall begging to be played.

Don’t know how the electronics are with these guitars, but I have a similar experience with a late 70s melody maker copy by Hondo. Two single coils, super hot output, spanky cleans but can sound chunky in a high gain situation. Picking up a second one this weekend, because mine has a broken truss rod 😢

Does this have a whammy and is it any good? Is it a 5 way switch? Thinking of buying one! Thanks

Mine doesn't but I see a bunch with it and it seems good but I not 100% sure and yes is a 5 way switch:)

What's the octave fuzz in the video? Sounds killer!

I think it was a Honey pot from TC Electronic ( I have a demo of that one on the channel )
with the octave pedal emolution on the board that I had at the time
Cause I never had a Octave Fuzz

Just an FYI, the only Hondo’s made in Japan are the Hondo II professional’s. Your particular guitar is made in Korea.

More like a fake LP with the balls of a strat...
