Very well made video, really good and clear explanations on everything going on! There are a few times it did break the flow a bit while watching(to long / overexplaining) but I'm sure you will keep refining the way as you continue making great content :).
Check out 3D Dot Game Heroes on PS3. It's a game that plays like Zelda 1, looks like Minecraft, made by the people who developed Demon's Souls.
Can you please do a ben 10 ultimate alien cosmic destruction speedrun video I am second in the world with 10.36 but I can't submit my run

One of the things that has gotten me to stick around in speedrunning (spectating) is the technical aspect of what these runners are doing and how they have dissected the games. So thanks for helping to explain these crazy techniques!. :D
Hope one of you speed runners picks up Zelda clone by Fromsoft/Atlus called 3D Dot Game Heroes for the PS3. It is fantastic.

@@misusedchair if you don't have all the triforce pieces, there's an old man in the room at 1:00:41 that blocks you from going into level 9
Exactly!
There's two things needed for level 9
1 - all eight triforce pieces to "skip the old man" in the beginning
2 - any sword to beat Ganon (plus the bow + silver arrow)
This is why you can't beat Ganon in the swordless speedrun.
I found myself saying “How is this speed run possible?”
Everyone has already said it in the comments but that won't keep me from saying it one more time: this is, hands down, the absolute best explanation of a speedrun I have ever seen. You must have put so much work into the video and it shows and it helps to understand all that is going on very smoothly. More than well done. This video is awesome.
Thanks! Zelda 1 is an incredibly knowledge-heavy speedrun. So much stuff going on behind the scenes that the runners need to keep track of constantly.
I had to rewind quite a few times to grasp all of thr information. And what a great nostalgic experience. Outstandong job indeed, for both of them!

It's as if at the end of every level, a bus arrives every 21 frames to bring you to the next level. Even if you miss the bus by just one frame, you would still have to wait 20 frames to catch the next bus. Sometimes though, you'll arrive just before a bus does, and you'll hardly have to wait at all. Of course, this doesn't apply to the last level, since timing stops immediately once you touch the axe at the end.

Think about this, the record was achieved on October 18th, this video was released on December 18th, so at the very most, writing, recording, and editing this whole documentary, not even talking about creating all these graphics and scoring the thing, was achieved in two months. That is some absurd speed to turn around anything in, especially something of this quality. Beyond amazing work from Bismuth as usual.
This is so insanely well done. I can't imagine how long the graphics and whatnot took you, and it really just makes this so easy to follow. I'm a big speedrunning fan, and it's so cool to get these in-depth explanations about popular games! Really amazing job!
