I love how they tweaked the character. In the comics, Martin Li doesn't know that he his Mister Negative, but here, he is embracing the demon inside of him that is so cool
Although I like this version better, his not knowing he's Mr. Negative makes one neat little bit in the comics where Martin Li plays a game of go with an unknown person who is always plays black.

@@chrisdaily2077 Totally agreed, while I do love the comic book set-up of Li not knowing who Mr Negative is I've got to say this game got far more milage out of him than the comics ever did. Of course, there's also the fact he set-up Anti-Venom in the comics as well but I love him as a member of the Sinister Six.

Martin Li is a unique villain and Stephen Oyoung the voice actor plays him so well, I appreciate him.
He also looks exactly like him.

I honestly hope we see him in the MCU at some point. He’s got such potential.
I honestly hope he doesn't. The MCU is pretty much on it's last legs and I'm dropping it after the next part of Infinity War. Before you ask, no, I am not a raging nerd or something. It's just the formulaic nature of the MCU has overstayed its welcome. I would rather have a superhero film that focuses on telling a story with good characters, rather than a Summer Blockbuster with all flash and no substance.
I can see him as a inhuman villian and/or part of Hydra. His need for revenge and the ability to convert unwilling subject is interesting.
As interesting as that would be, I don't think we'll get a Spider-Man character on Agents of SHIELD and I highly doubt they'd make him Inhuman in the movies since the TV executives won't play ball with crossing over into the films.

@@phillipwalling7470 Norman seems to be the cause for most trouble here, BUT at the same time, he is doing it because he is desperate to save his family. Here he probably cares for Harry more than ever before. I think that Norman is a good, but incredibly flawed person who will sacrifice lives of others to just to save lives related to his own.
@@phillipwalling7470 it’s super hard to blame one party in the whole game. Most people hate norman but even his reasons are quite rational, he was desperate to save his family. He didn’t want to ruin anyone’s life on purpose.
He did reveal that he cared in a letter to May. He confessed his crimes to her and admitted that what he did for FEAST was never an act. He cared deeply for her and told her not let his actions shame her.

The serum they gave him was experimental and kinda failed. It altered his emotions to an unstable state.

Negative should have been the main antagonist of the game. I love the version of Otto in this game, but they could have saved his transformation into Octopus for the sequal. Li makes more sense as he had the resources to break out the other members of the sinister Six and I find his struggle with his good and evil halves very compelling.
If this game gets a sequel I can see Norman finally becoming The Green Goblin and Li breaks out of jail to try and kill him again.
Goblin vs Negative would be an amazing fight.
And since Harry seems to be this universe's version of Venom he'll probably go against his dad after he finds out everything that went on with Devil's Breath and Norman being responsible for turning Martin Li into Mr Negative and partly responsible for Otto Octavius becoming Dr Octopus.
Nah they did it well with the regular structure of having 2 primary villains. Mr negative being it for the first half of the game and octopus being for the second half. Despite Otto being the leader of the sinister 6 both of them are the main villains

I am starting to think that the only reason Martin Li suddenly became so different in the story was that showing him the mask triggered his mr negative part of his personality to appear more often where he has to often fight against inside so
Except he already ran the Demons and used the masks. It wasn't like the Demons appeared after he saw the mask. He had already designed them and distributed them.
Mr. Li must have sought Octavius's help in keeping Mr. Negative in check. Overtime, the latter will eventually dominate what's left of the CEO of F.E.A.S.T.
Actually he became Mr. Negative more often to win the gang war to become head mafia after Kingpin’s arrest.
No the demons started appearing before Peter showed him the mask, he was planning it all along.
Somewhere in the game there’s a letter or audio file or something where Lee talks about how now that Kingpin was out of the picture he can commence his plan. It’s hinted at a fee times. Kingpin’s statue had the devil’s breath file. The demons stole guns and explosives from kingpin’s arsenal and they attacked his men.
Great story, great villians and damn that cake looked tasty

Before playing this game, I never knew much about Mr. Negative so I wasn’t a fan of him. But man, after I beat the game, he’s become one of my favorite Spider-Man villains and I’m glad he got the attention he deserved here. He was easily my favorite villain out of the game too, truly an underrated character.
Mr. Negative it's one of my favorite villain, he's that, wisdom, strategic type. Smart enough to be a leader and also has the power

Utilizing electroshock therapy on Harleen Quinzel, solitary confinement for most of the "patients", and in some cases exacerbating the patient's mental issues). I would honestly pay to see a TV series where Arkham actually attempts to help some of the residents. The ones that can be helped that is. The Joker should just be given the gas chamber or the firing squad at this point. The guy has at least half-a-billion counts of homicide at this point and is totally unrepentant. He's earned it.
He will be back in sequel or in third game...doesnt it make sense? As we will e getting green goblin...and he wants to kill him...plus he killed miles dad...so that can lead us to miles vs mr negative...so much more potential

Before this game, Mister Negative was always "That NEW Spider-Man villain" to me.
Now, I like him as a character. Like Batman's Harvey Dent, he is a good man struggling with a darker split personality
(major difference being the corruptive energy and Chinese mythology background.)
Like Spider-Man himself, I really don't view Martin Li as an evil man..just a good man who is unwell.

I'd say they've definitely gotten better with time, I really liked Civil War's version of Zemo, Ego was really fun, Killmonger is good even though he's slightly overrated, and I like Thanos.

It's been a little while since I played Spiderman and I forgot how much I enjoyed Mr. Negative as an antagonist. My return to the game was prompted by me looking up the VAs and finding out that Mr. Negative's VA (Stephen Oyoung) is supposed to play Red Hood in Batman Gotham Knights. His performance here was stellar so my hopes have gone up even further!

I dont think he ever found out he was Spider-man. But he witnessed Peter leaving his office which was meant to be a trap for anyone who saw the evidence. He probably assumed the trap failed. Thats why when Peter leaves FEAST he is attacked by a bunch of corrupted arguably as an attempt to kill Peter.
He really should show up in the MCU.

A relatable character if I'm gonna be honest. I understand him on the "I want my revenge on ____ for what he/she has done to me/____" part honestly. My fav character of the game
I loved Martin’s Character in this game. I felt like even though they didn’t do a lot of explaining it was enough to understand for his hatred for Norman Osborn and his reason for his involvement. The first time I played/watch the game on CZcams I was shocked it was Li who was behind the city hall bombing. I also love how there are moments in the game where you wonder doe he know or a least have suspicion that Peter was Spider-Man especially the scene when Peter was coming out of the closet and they have a stare down. I hope in Marvel Spider-Man 2 there’s some closure on his character.

@@amireyvazi9251 his powers is based on light of force and dark force his light force gives him the persona of martin li and gives him the power of healing touch and the dark force gives him the persona of Mr negative which turns his body into black skin and white hair and white pupil and white clothes and in this form grants him super human reflex and durability and also strength which is strong enough for him to lift somthin that is 50 tons he also gains the ability to corrupt touch which is he can use to read minds go to people minds and control them and he can use the dark force energy to shoot projectiles and and puts he's power on swords do he can make it much more deadly another fact is that he's mind controlled inner demons also have to ability to put their energy in their weapon like Mr negative and these goons are stronger than normal humans like these goons are peak human level and they are also nearly not killable because the goons can regenerate because of the light energy which heals them and himself too
