Hello Paul Components, Thank you for the video! I bought my self a pair of Motolite brakes and needed a demonstration on how to install them. I assume the process would be the same as these, correct? Also, in the instructions it says hand tighten for the bolts but I like using my torque wrench to be exact because I have heavy hands and tend to overtighten bolts. What would the recommended torque specifications be in Nm?
Just found out these won't work on my '85 Bianchi Grizzly: the studs are brazed on too low to allow the cable to clear a 2.1" 559 tire. Fine brakes, I'm sure; but they won't fit every bike out there.
@@theprojectproject01 Mini Motos are designed so you can use short pull brake levers like road levers or old school mtb flat bar levers. They'll only work with smaller tires because the arms are short so you don't need long pull levers like most v brakes do. .
@@rollinrat4850 Yes, that's exactly why I bought them. To work with road levers on mustache bars. That was the whole point. It's cool, I'll just use smaller tires. 1.75s will get me the 8mm or so I need for clearance.
@@theprojectproject01 I like the skinnier tires. If I ride just a little slower, 33mm tires are fine on fairly rough trails. It's always, The RIDER, not the bike! On some of my rocky trails, it's easier to thread the needle around rocks than bash over them, mtb style. Especially on a rigid singlespeed where it's all about momentum.

For a tire of that volume we would recommend our Moto-Lite instead of the Mini-Moto.
