Hello Maik! I'm super hyped for the camera, but I'm wondering if you have anything to say about the fact that the camera hits 4k with maximum 30fps. When shooting slow-motion, how do you solve the stutter problem? I thought that when I upgrade from my Panasonic Lumix G7, I would be jumping up to 4k 60fps.
how big iso you can use on raw image if you dont want noise ?

Yeah It’s not strong in this area, I use a gimbal with a focus wheel and does the job. If you get skilled at manual focus, you’ll be fine

I started with an A6000. Sold that and bought an A6300. Sold that and bought an A7sii. Sold that and later regretted selling it because that was honestly the best camera I've ever owned. Now I'm looking to buy an A7sii again but your videos are really making me wonder if I should save some money and just buy an A7ii... anyway, nice videos :)

I would say it depends on your purpose - but as far as I can concern the A7sii is "better" for photos right? I can say I never had problems when it comes to photography with this camera 🙏🏼

Hey Maik! When you shoot this video, that camera must be have older firmware then the latest 4.01 couse i switched to Deutch language and Fokusfeld/Feld does not even exist...
(Or its user error? Maybe that function is only working when you use native Sony E mount Sony Lens?) Closest is flexible spot!?

great Video. One short question. With which focus settings did you take this video? I tried to make some similar video with aht A7II and the Sony SEL50F18F. Unfortunately the focus was pumping all the time. I tried wide, center, with and without face detection. Nothing worked.

Hi, I need help, I am troubling with the settings, 50fps means I can shoot 1/120 but what if I use more, for example, 1/320 is it possible to do?
It is possible too but will give you a different look. Every motion looks way sharper in this case - for the „unteained“ eye it’s not really a difference.
Look for „180 degree shutter rule“ on CZcams for a more in depth explanation 😊

I know I'm late, but I have an a7ii. I got it 4 months ago now and I'm really happy with it. I had a Nikon D3200 as my first camera and this was a massive upgrade. Since it's full frame it has more bokeh than an apsc camera and that also helps with video because the sensor lets in more light. I would say noise performance is good up to iso 3200 for photo and 6400 for video (Still depends on lighting though because if it were darker then you'd see the noise more, if in bright outdoor conditions then you wouldn't see it as much.)
hello. I using the sony a7s mark 2 and using a sony 24-70 G series. I have face detect on and I am continuous auto focus . Focus area is set to wide and and have set it to centre. Real big issue I am having is that background shudders, focus hunting whenever the subject moves during an interview. Its not noticeable on the viewfinder or EVF but when I get back to my rushes you can notice and turns the shot. I have had to revert back to manual focus for the time being. Any ideas what is going wrong ?
sadly you can't fix that...
The A7ii is not the best video camera (when it comes to AF) My recommendation would be as well to switch into MF or maybe when it's your Business upgrading to the A7iii

Im using my a7ii I shoot weddings, I will try your camera settings later.. But I will get another camera the a6500.. I am just starting out I do not have enough money yet to buy the fx3 or the a7r3.. so just got to use what is affordable for now..

the sony new apsc's are great but I just know immediately if its a fullframe sony video if i see it due to the dynamic range and less artifacting...not to mention the ibis

The real problem with this camera is moire. I even have a second camera to shoot with when its a big problem :D
Oh! And to make something clear, the moire is a much bigger problem when shooting video. Can be slightly reduced when shooting aps-c mode
