You can't compare disses "bar-for-bar", it is like comparing novels sentence by sentence. Story of Adidon had very few "bars" that stood out, but the whole dissection of Drake's character is what makes it great. Ghost writers are amazing at writing bars, but it is impossible to write lyrical work "bar-for-bar".

Im thankful Fantano hopped on a stream with NFR. Them dudes were goin out real bad. They were so damn emotionally invested into their reaction and review of Euphoria, that they didnt give it a fair evaluation. It was painful/hilarious seeing them listen to it. They needed some kind of help for damage control after such a horrible take.
Everyone is biased let’s be real here. The only people that wouldn’t be biased would be non-hiphop heads, but they wouldn’t know the history behind this beef to have a complete outlook anyway.

I think Kendrick achieved two things with Euphoria that are unprecedented: 1) He drove the point home that Drake only presents himself as black for his own benefit; Kendrick basically said Drake wants to be seen as black because he wants to be accepted by the culture but at the same time he does a very poor job of representing black people because of his character, values (or lack thereof) and the way he behaves in general; While all of this had been said before, Kendrick really managed to bring it all together in a cohesive and poignant way. 2) Kendrick pointed out that Drake probably hates women because he doesn't respect them, he surrounds himself with the worst type of women, encourages them to give in to their worst tendencies, and basically treats them like objects; I believe people massively underestimate the impact this will have on Drake (the self-entitled Certified Lover Boy) and his fan base in the long run, especially if Kendrick continues to emphasize this point on future diss tracks.

I'm a newbie to rap, so I was very surprised when I found out that Drake v Pusha went on for less than a week, whilst the tracks from the Jay Z v Nas beef were all released several months apart from each other. People have really been spoiled in recent years, I guess.

In battle rap, it’s about out classing your opponent. Out rap, out perform, out write. Most cases, only 2 outta the 3 are needed.
You don’t necessarily have to dig up dirt on who you’re battling-and most battles ARE using and building off of what is already widely know about them. It’s for the audience to judge. That’s why Euphoria is the better diss, because Kendrick out rapped, wrote, and out performed.

Honestly to me the biggest let down was the lack of response from Royce to Lupe/Mickey Facts. I was so hype for that from a lyrical perspective. I still want Royce to randomly drop and kick that off again lol.
Of course Kendrick should mention things that were said already by other rappers. You know why? Because he's one of the most famous rappers of our time and exponentially more people will hear a thing when he says it versus when Joe Budden or Pusha T says it. Compare the day 1 numbers of euphoria to the day 1 numbers of Adidon or a typical Joe Budden Podcast episode and you see exactly what I'm talking about. The honest truth is that because Kendrick is more famous, messages will reach a lot more people when they come from him, not because they're new or original insights, but because he's that much more famous than the people who have said them before.
When Drake sponsors/endorsers see a pattern of a man with too many skeletons that may leave a mark on them, some could keep off or make contractual changes that affect his brand and maybe even music.
Watching this now that 6:16 in LA is out and the tail end back Kendrick not replaying to the Taylor line when we now have Jack getting a credit is funny because this isn't even a 24 hour old stream

While I agree that there most likely isn't a single diss track that can take a massive artist out, we might be missing the point as far as Kendrick's intention; Kendrick might just decide to consistently go at Drake and systematically dismantle him until he wipes him out like 50 did with Ja Rule. That would take some doing but I think Kendrick could pull it off. The question is is that Kendrick's intention? At this point, I don't think so. But who knows...

The NFR boys have had some bad takes on this beef for sure, but I dont think the hate on them is warranted. Any critic is likely to have blind spots and some leniency is warranted especially in light of how young these guys are and their Canadian Drake bias. Don’t get me wrong I dont want to make excuses for them, but there’s no reason to be so negative when they clearly had a conversation with Fantano that was very productive in parts. If you listen to these guys regularly you can really see that they have a passion for the music.
