How amazing is this girl? She's had people ripping her apart at every opportunity over stupid things like her opinion on renting or fecking CRISPS for crying out loud, meanwhile she's been dealing with all of this behind the scenes and she's still humble through it all.
Totally agree 💕
People were having a go at her for crisps? It's all jealousy, she's mature for her age and she's pretty and confident. Now she's financially successful as well people just hate because they want what she has.

Exactly!! Everyone said she was in love island for the money when her and Tommy are the only couple still together out of 2019
This is the woman who gets ripped to shreds by people on socials and in the media. Whatever she says or does is always criticised. Yet despite all of that she is so strong, genuine and kind. Her lovely personality really does shine though and I'm so pleased that she doesn't let these awful people change this! Keep shining on Molly, you're doing fab ✨💛

My mum had a similar mole on her arm that would catch on her tshirts, she’d ask her dr all the time to remove it because it was annoying her but they kept said no it was going to be a hassle and she'd have a scar for nothing, until one day basically the same as you, she went to another dr for something totally random and said oh btw could you remove this mole for me it’s annoying, they said sure. Found out it was stage 4 melanoma and she would have died within months had they not removed it. She battled cancer for 10 years, it spread from her lymphnodes, to her intestines and then to her brain, and she died when I was 16 🥺 I’m so proud of you for speaking about this and for being so brave xxx
I’m so sorry to hear that and I can’t imagine what you went through 🥺😥
Holy shit 😞😞😞
@@Serenjones28 Thank you so much. I wouldn't wish it upon anyone :(
I am really sorry for you and your mom. It's such a shame when doctors don't take us seriously, it's really a problem for women sadly. I lost my mom at a young age as well. May we live in their light everyday ❤
I lost my mum at a young age too with cancer , which spread right through her body to her brain , it’s horrendous for all the family , your mum was an absolute warrior it sounds , like my own , too many doctors nowadays brushing things under the carpet or not taking things seriously.. sending virtual hugs your way x
Anyone else concerned that TWO registered dermatologists said the mole was okay?!!! How many people have they misinformed like that
I've had skin cancer and the specialist I saw said that the only way to know 100% is to take a biopsy.
@Dana Hale you sound like you know what your taking about , are you a skin doctor ?, it definitely looks suspicious, hopefully it is nothing to worry about though.. how awful, poor molly x
I've had Lymphoma and my gp told me I was fine about 5 times before i had an ultrasound, ct scan and biopsy. I think medical professionals really need to be more cautious!
forreal...
Unfortunately this happens so often and far too often! We know our bodies better than anyone so we should always fight for results and the best possible care when and where it’s possible! Stay safe everyone and always listen to your body

Isa Tailor well that’s not her business. this happened before the second lockdown so she’s not breaking any rules and if she gets the virus that’s also her problem, not anyone else’s.

That’s so weird that they didn’t have masks on arriving to the hospital
@@secretlysims4337 The hospital she was at actually gives you their own masks to wear, they don't allow you to use your own. It might've changed but that's what happened when I went. :)
I hate the fact people shame her when she’s absolutely beautiful.
I can't believe the first two doctors said it was fine... It literally looks cancerous with the irregularity, bumpiness and two diff colours
EXACTLY that’s mad Alwats get a third or fourth opinion if you have to
I believe they were dermatologists. People should always go to their doctor for problems and not get advice from dermatologists :(
@@TheKaizoku19 a dermatologist is a doctor? They specialise in skin?😂
@@TheKaizoku19 dermatologists are actually medical doctors and part of their job is knowing about skin cancers so if those doctors were dermatologists then I'm surprised that they just let it go
@@daniellegibson6767 omg lol you're right. Even worse they didn't recognise it as cancer
Skin cancer ABCDE
A - asymmetry
B - border (are they uneven?)
C - colour
D - diameter (is it better than the end/rubber of a pencil?)
E - elevation/evolution (is it raised? has it changed?)
thank you x
This isnt always the case
Diameter is above 6mm btw, and colour - is there multiple colours in the same mole (concerning) or is it a uniform colour (more likely to be benign)
@@beccalennox5437 it’s still helpful tho
I had one for 3 years and was describing this to my mole specialist telling them it had changed for three years. They finally did a biopsy when I went back early the 4th time! It was melanoma and now I am recovering from surgery. Lucky it was stage 1 so it hadn't spread. Make sure you trust your intuition and get second opinions!!
Even though she is more fortunate than most of us there is something SO comforting and relatable about Molly. After everything she remains extremely humble, lovely and high-spirited and we need a lot more celebrities like this in the world. Thank you for sharing your story Molly - you are strong and amazing we love you! Xxx
I don’t get how people thought this girl was fake she’s so nice x
very well said ❣
My fiancé has a mole on his forehead that keeps changing appearance, he’s had two ‘professionals’ say it’s nothing but it keeps changing & I can’t shift my gut that it isn’t OK. This video makes me realise I shouldn’t ignore it & strive for a 3rd opinion. Thank you!
Please go back to the GP and ask for your boyfriend to be referred to a Dermotlogist. Ask the receptionist if there is a GP who has an interest in skin and see them if possible. Take a photo of the mole next to a ruler and keep photos of the different colours. Do not take no for an answer.
Don't ignore but take a look where you live as well. In India walking around in 38c not a problem do same in Australia you will have a problem in a couple of minutes and may be hospital. We have a serious lack of ozone so no filtering of UV.
I would call up and when speaking to the receptionist say ‘hi I would like to book a surgical biopsy on a suspicious mole on my forehead’, that way they are prepared for when you go in. If the doc says I think it’s fine, say I still want this biopsied or please refer me to someone who will biopsy this as we need this for our piece of mind. Explain that you will not stop until it gets biopsied. Be pushy, because a biopsy procedure is minor they will do it to alleviate your anxiety.
Aha
As an oncology worker, a mole that changes size/shape and/or with irregular edges is signs of it being cancerous. Not to scare you, but definitely go to a different doctor
It’s so scary. I’ve had a cancer scare last year when I was 12 as I had a large tumour on my ovary. Luckily, the tumour wasn’t cancerous! Molly you are so strong ❤️ xxx

i've had cancer- a year of chemo, radio and surgery- finished in June. getting stuff checked is SO important be your own advocate because the earlier they find it, the easier it is to treat!! I was also treated where molly had her mole removed!
Omg I’ve hoped you’ve beat it stay strong hope your ok 💗💗
Keep strong xx

Stay strong girl same here. 24 with breast cancer just finished chemo
Bless her. She honestly deserves the world. Im soo happy that she had someone like Tommy to be there for her
It's so lovely to see someone who is in the public eye talk about this. I also had the same surgery when i was about 21, but it was on my arm. Thankfully it also wasn't cancer but i often complained about it to the doctors and they finally removed it for me. Your scar looks like its healing so well, unfortunately for me mine didn't heal so nice and have been self conscious about my scar ever since. Until recently when i covered it with a tattoo. People need to get things checked, even if its an inconvenience to them. You're very brave and again I appreciate you making this video and telling people! xx
I really appreciate Molly talking about this to her audience and spreading awareness, it’s such a private thing to talk about! 💙
Thank you for sharing. Sending big hug x
never usually one to comment on videos but after seeing your initial instagram story I plucked up the courage to go and get a mole of mine checked that was slightly raised and pigmented, I’d put it off because I have a massive fear of hospitals/needles but I thought I have to get it checked for my piece of mind! luckily after going to the hospital and seeing the doctor my mole was benign, meaning it was completely normal but I am SO happy that I got it checked and it is so important. I just want to say thank you for sharing this message and I’m sending so much love and hope your results come back okay xxx
I felt the exact same and my mole turned out to be fine, it’s so important to get it checked for that ease of mind. I was so worried for the longest time but I felt silly going to the doctors because the mole wasn’t massive or anything but thanks to Molly Mae I did ☺️
Did you just go to the hospital and they without any problem checked you? Do they still see people & do GP see people during this pandemic?thx
so proud and happy for you x
@@Paulina-yv7go Normally you would get these kind of things checked by a/your dermatologist, so not in a hospital. But I guess If you have a hospital appointment, it could still go through (same for GP). Probably depends what hospital though. Also Covid patients in hospitals mostly are in the icu in hospital beds, an appointment for a mole won't interfere with busy doctors working with covid patients.
@@Paulina-yv7go I talked to my GP over the phone and sent a photo, he then referred me to the specialist dermatology/skin clinic at the hospital where I had it checked out!
I got a cancerous mole removed from my arm this year. I had a pet scan and got diagnosed with Melanoma. I have had two surgeries this year and am currently going through immunotherapy. I’m 20 years old and have two little boys. All the emotions you are feeling are the exact same feelings I had when I first found out and still even till this day I feel the same way. This is amazing for anyone that had gone through it before making them not feel alone, as well as helping all those people out there that have debated about getting their moles checked just to be safe.💞
💞Keep safe everyone, look after each other
Literally because of your insta story I went to my GP to finally get my moles checked& have now been referred for one of them to the hospital. If it wasn’t because of your story I would have never gone at all. I really hope you’re okay& thank you so much for sharing this. You are so strong to be dealing with this💓
Here in Australia we have one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. The doctors recommend you get your skin checked like every month here. I’ve been lucky not to ever have a cancerous one. But our UV rays make it so dangerous we get taught skin cancer in schools
I was diagnosed with lung cancer in January this year. I was lucky they caught it early enough for it to be “cured”. Fast forward 6 months to June after months of the surgeon constantly changing his mind, cancelling appts etc, we went to the hospital for an face to face appt and it got cancelled when we drove an hr to get there. So my mum flipped and we got another dr who said that they would do the surgery as “I’ve been through enough as it is”. So I had 2/3 of my right lung taken out and am now in remission 😊 it’s all worth it in the end when you get to ring that bell 😭💖
Lung cancer? What? You look so young dear. I’ve never met anyone with lung cancer who wasn’t middle aged or older. We’re you a heavy smoker? Sorry to pry I’m just so curious it’s such an uncommon cancer in younger folk assuming you are the person in your DP. Happy that your in remission and fought the battle.
Good to hear that you're doing well now!
That is awful!!!
Oh god!! Thank god that you’re in remission now, what a horrendous ordeal for you xxx
Congrats!💗
Just booked an appointment for a mole that I've been wanting to get checked for a while so thank you for giving me the push I needed :) Sending love and hoping you have a quick recovery x
I had a mole/growth on the waterline of my top eyelid that had a lot of melanoma-type symptoms, got it checked out by a GP and two ophthalmologists who said to leave it and then a specialist who recommended I had it removed since even if it wasn't cancerous, it would become cancerous. I had the surgery a few months before I turned 18 & started uni, bit it was genuinely the most scary time of my life. Thankfully it was benign, and it hasn't scarred too badly, but early detection is so important!!! So glad it's all removed & you're alright now. Lotsa love xx
Have to say you're absolutely stunning with your lip fillers removed.
Just as well you had a 3rd opinion. It happened to my mum- she was told there was nothing wrong with her beast. She wasn't happy so went privately for 2nd opinion and 3 days later she was getting her beast removed!!!! It's scary when you think you believe everything a doctor tells you!! Sending good thoughts and vibes to you x
Thank you so much for raising awareness Molly 🥰 you're so brave and I love how honest and genuine you are xxx

You are such a beautiful and inspiring person inside and out, sending lots of love your way x
i hope you’re feeling better now molly
It’s so sad that many women experience this dismissal of their concerns and their worries. A lot of the time doctors and surgeons think we are over exaggerating about the pain. This really needs to change I’m glad Molly got a third opinion. Pls get as many opinions as you need.
I think doctors are just dismissive in general. They have a set guidance of when they can refer you for further tests, so if you don’t meet that criteria to the T, they will try to brush you off. It’s terrible
I just left this on a other comment! I think we would have less post natal deaths if women were taken for their word by doctors more seriously. It's especially a problem with WOC in the US.
I don't think it's just women who have this issue but I agree
So upsetting how emotional she looks at the end. She’s staying strong but she really isn’t herself😢❤️
@Lemsy McSnipe shut up man honestly
Oh my goodness! I really hope you’re okay Molly! Sending lots of love ❤️
You’re brilliant. Hope everything is ok. I’m so glad you’re making people aware of this. I’ve had first hand knowledge of it and I know exactly what you’re going through. Well done for posting this video and also staying positive.
People always check your body, moles everything. Be aware and be safe!
Honestly thank you so much for being so transparent about all this. Both my parents had skin cancer, so because I’m at such a high risk I constantly have to be aware of every little change on my body, and so many people just think I’m being over dramatic. I think a lot of people don’t realize how serious it is, and your intuition to keep asking doctors when you knew something was wrong was so spot on. I hope you’re well!
Did your parents have melanoma? How are they now? My wife just had a mole removed that tested positive for melanoma. It very shallow .3 so she’s going in for an excision but I’m a nervous wreck. We just had a baby and the thoughts going through my mind are terrible.
This is why you should trust your gut and keep getting more opinions from doctors! You did a great job Molly, wishing you the best.
