Hey Scotty Kilmer i have a 1996 Dodge Stratus ES V6 2.5L, The car startes then dies after 4 seconds also i have try to step the gas pedal still dies after 4 seconds.
I have replace the starter, fuel pump assembly, fuel filter, fuel injector, spark plug, spark plug wire, air intake/ charge temperature sensor, idle air control (IAC) valve, manifold pressure (MAP) sensor, And but still having issues.
So what could be the issue?
I need help.
Watching your video on this Lexus. How does real leather tear? I know there are grades of leather but car makers never ever reveal the grade. Like bonded leather is pure crap. So Lexus uses pure crap leather?

@@markabendan4790 Scotty won't help you with any Chrysler product. As an actual technician I would say it sounds like a security system issue. Did you by chance get a new key cut for the ignition or disconnect the ECM? I'd say go that route.

UZS DC really? Wow. How many other options were there? lol (joke). But I figured heat soak in there from that thicc ole V8 would kill power after 30mins or so.
@@Meekmillan if you leave the factory snorkel from the front of the hood then cold air should come in with ease to that intake, the 1uz fe vvti motors have a lot of heat soak around the sides where the manifolds are and Toyota did a good job of preventing heat soak to the front
@@UzsDc1UZ I don’t think it’s an SRT, doesn’t quite look like the SRT I have on my 400. Also missing the aluminum box that helps isolate it from the heat. Also doesn’t sound like a SRT. The SRT sounds sick, kinda like a turbo spooling.

Technically it’s not a cold air intake unless it goes outside the engine bay that’s just a regular intake with a thinner air filter and smoother hose

That's because the ECM is running in a fail safe mode. All the sensors are broken or not working, so the ECM is forced to continuously dump fuel into the engine making it run super rich.
Dude is dumb removing the O2 sensors on that car even modded cars I still run O2s

Scotty this is why I work for a dealership. For me it's really easy I tell the customer I can return your car back to stock and then diagnosing from there. I work on Subaru so I get a lot of hotrods. But I'm always willing to work with every customer to try to figure out the problem.
Recently bought one of these, a 1998. Drives perfect, and it pretty much keeps up with the newer GS 430.
Plot twist: the owner kept all of the take off parts, and puts them back on right before inspection, then put all the mods back as soon as he leaves the inspection station.
Then it would have an inspection sticker from when it was inspected, which it doesn't. He just got lucky and was never pulled over and the officer notice the lack of it.
The amount of time and effort that would take would be completely prohibitive on a car like that 😂
millions of people are doing that in europe..like cops are checking for the missing parts;p..well, maybe just for being too loud on the streets you can get in trouble, n get checked, but other than that - no probs in most cases..

@Lucas Van Hamburg depends on where the bottleneck is and how much colder the intake air is. On average a good cold air can show about 5 to 10 hp but combined with other mods it can be more.

Scotty, being a "mechanic for over 52 years", you should know Toyota UZ series engines are non interference. Those engines have been in the U.S. since 1990.

I don't know what it's like in the states, but here in New Zealand if a car is first registered before 2010 you don't need a catalytic converter so long as it doesn't have a check engine light and it doesn't make too much noise.
On the flip side: Doing a catback system isn't all that bad, it won't throw fault codes, it's a replacement which is much better.

This sort of thing is common in Southern California when young dudes get their hands on a car I've been seeing it for 10 years+ they're destroying all my favorite Japanese cars and then try to resell it at a stupid price. It really makes my heart sink and also insults me when they tell my why they think it's worth that much.

Well I bought a 1991 lexus LS400 14 years ago with 54,000 miles on it. I left it completely stock. She's still running real smooth today. The odometer stopped working a few years ago at 174,000 miles.

@@duftmand Seems like the car is subtracting fuel so it's probably not going to put out the full power but yes it was making anywhere from 270 to 300 if I'm not mistaking it was about 280

Actually that car has 2 - catalytic converters & 4 - 02 sensors in its oem form. I've owned my 98' lexus gs400 for past 9 yrs., it's always been my everyday driver & now has 207k miles, awesome car!!

My uncle has a 98 Lexus gs300 with 536k miles on it and it runs like new lol gs cars last forever.
You can hear the exhaust sounds amazing. The CEL bulbs practically fall out of there sockets with a couple light tapps.

We don't emissions in my state and my 89 Supra doesn't have cats anymore either, that and a manual boost controller is the only mods done to it and it starts and runs like a top too.
Literally the only thing affecting its performance is missing the cats and no O2's. The CAI still has a factory MAF so that's not affecting much, even with warm air from the engine bay.

Stock does not last longer because the automanufacturers don't want you to have the best car.
My current car for example will last longer than the auto company say's it will because I am using motor oil that is superior to what it came with from the factory. Little details like that go along way to making a car last a very long time.
The aftermarket industry knows more than the OEM does so long as the parts are not 🇨🇳 made.
