This guy clearly hasn't been to a DC show. No one talks but everyone sings. Most concerts, some people sing especially to the popular songs, but at a dashboard show, everyone sings every word. It's so much fun.
I feel better knowing that Chris didn’t mind me downloading his music for free.😊
God this make me feel nostalgic. As an Elder emo this made my Monday Morning. Love Dashboard, and actually loved his other band Further Seems forever, even after they replaced him. I remember seeing Dashboard at tiny tiny venues, and at SummerFest in Milwaukee a few times. I still listen to Dashboard a few times a week on my playlist. I was also just talking with someone about how most of the people who were into emo music converted to country as country is just Souther Emo lol. Chris also just always seemed and still does seem like such a good soul.
Chris reminds me of Jim Adkins from JEW. So humble and chill and articulate. No scandals no drama. Just a musician making music
I consider dashboard to be the true definition of emo and really what launched a whole genre of acoustic emo music.
This interview takes me back in time and I love it! 😂
This interview is so good 👏🥲
I just love this guy.
So sorry for you sir, you must be a very dull person
Such a good interviewer! Great questions!
Been following Chris since FSF and he's never lost it.. ever
I still have several tapes of myspace bands, unsigned, unknown, I don't even remember their names, but the music I heard was magnificent.
This guy interviewing Chris is such a casual fan. You can tell by what he says and asks. DC had a huge following long before Vindicated ever came out. He mentioned Unplugged but none of the songs from it. 😅
So excited to see DC and CC in Niagara Falls tonight!!
i have to agree with Bobby, I saw Dashboard and Counting crows twice this summer, and the biggest complaint is when people talk during the show. so frustrating
This guy is genuinely intelligent. Loved DC back in the day.
The beginning, and the peak, and the ultimate expression of Emo was Bright eyes. Not emo rock, that requires a modifier, it's kind of it's own thing. Straight Emo. And Bright Eyes was one of the best bands of all time with literally 5 full records that are ALL incredible... not just good singles, I'm talking dark side of the moon no skipping tracks album experiences, every song ranging from great to incredibly excellent, virtually no filler/skippable material. From Letting off the Happiness to the double-release of I'm Wide Awake it's Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, it was 7 years of perfection, but since he was on his own indie record label there was no real radio play or media appearances until Wide Awake I believe. I saw them in Phoenix in like 2006. Cassadaga and The People's Key came next and they were OK, some good tracks, but not the kind of era-defining perfection of the previous 5 albums, they were more hit or miss. The new one I haven't heard yet except for one track that I thought was garbage.
I remember first hearing Screaming Infidelities on The Real World San Diego after Frankie cheated on her boyfriend (R.I.P, Frankie). I was instantly trying to find the name of the song. For the life of me, I can't remember how I found it. Maybe I just searched for lyrics. Anyway, I proceeded to pirate as much of their music as I could and I've been listening to DC ever since. I think Hands Down and Again I Go Unnoticed will always be my favourite songs.
Ok I know this is a country show but I love when they have artists that are not country !
This is not an artist
@@acpote I was wondering what you thought about Chris.
He looks exactly the same lol
Chris Carraba dropping Youth Of Today references... incredible
Can't believe he's 48
Myspace was a 1st gen social media kind of like a blend between Facebook and Spotify and unfortunately also Geocities 🤦♂️
why does he look so different...is it.the side burns missing?
He might have had some work done. 🤷
Ask Chris does he still own his Swiss Army Knife?
He played it at Pete Roses.😊😊😊😊
The name Dashboard was created at Pete Rose Cafe .😊😊😊😊😊
Remember Pete Rose Ballpark Cafe Chris.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
30 minutes with a guitar and a mic without playing
Couldn't conceive of anyone listening to his music. Couldn't agree more, totally baffling
When you told me you couldn’t conceive, I thought you were talking about you transitioning surgery.
?
Somebody cares about their looks a little too much. God damn Chris, how much money you got left?
He should be far more reluctant. Like reluctant enough to not go outside
Been doing it too long. Stop. #stop #giveUp
