Yes, this song reminds me of Deep Purple and Whitesnake.
I really like that their music is reminiscent of eighties (even late-seventies sometimes) hard & metal BUT never sound like slavish copies. They actually turned all those references into their own style, and you can instantly recognize them if you hear a couple of notes.

This is Blonde Midori’s song, her first as primary writer for Lovebites (whereas Miyako writes about half the songs). Both of them using unique guitars here, Miyako on a tele that I’ve heard was built by her guitar tech partner, but I love Midori’s burgundy custom ESP Ultratone/Snapper hybrid, one of four custom designs that ESP Craft Academy (4 luthier school sites) built to her design specs. it’s slightly smaller, classic vibrato arm (not her norm Floyd Rose), gold hardware, beautiful color, and full onboard active (preamp) controls. [i need this! I’ll send you my specs & address!].
A few people have noticed Deep Purple, Judas Priest etc, but nice references to Tull & Motley Crue 😉

Yes they influenced by 80-s metal and i forgot to mention in my previous comment Miyako the guitarist one of the her favourite guitarist from the past is Ritchie Blackmore, so in this song they've got that sound which reminds a lot of Deep Purple, and Asami the singer reminds a lot of Ian Gillan.

I think this may be the first time I've seen Miyako play anything other than a Dean. And it pretty much has that classic Tele sound.
