43 years old, been around motorcycles my entire adult life, and this kid has taught me more about gear in the last month than I've learned in my life. Brilliant channel.
Then you weren't learning at all before lol
How much did F9 pay you to write that comment?
Ryan owes me a snappy high five, payment enough lol
@@TheZombiejohn75 Love your gratefulness and attitude sir! 💐🙏
@@LeroyRifkin if someone shows you appreciation do you think they're a suck up? So negative
It's so cool how you never seem to run out of topics related to motorcycles. It's a great job you're doing Ryan. It's almost a service.
Service me Ryan senpai
There's certainly a lot more to talk about motorcycles than cars
Almost? What else you want with this; a neck massage?
DryeLint ....LoL does this mean what I think it means? 😋😂
I liked the content so much I bought my gear off fortnine
"Hi I'm Ryan F9 and I'm going to be talking about cardstock for the next 30 minutes."
10/10 would still watch. Brilliant production quality/scripting etc. Well done!
And even talking about cardstock, the guy would crack me up.
@@burnerjack01 i can't think of a single innuendo/joke involving card stock...but, I trust Ryan would come to the rescue.
@@just-dl cardstock, much like toilet paper, is not a topic to stinge on. Sometimes you look at a selection and think "just single ply will do" and then later find yourself in a rough spot. Buy the triple layer wave enforced version.
@@ActualRealKayamariOfficialVEVO which reminds of the time I got in touch with my inner self...no more single ply for me! :-)
Without a doubt... Rev'it clothing IS the best bang-4-buck out there! Their gear is smart looking, effective and well priced and ingeniously designed. And they seem to have a jacket for every riding style!
Time for a 2022 best jackets update Ryan! 👍🏻
2023~
2024
I love this guy, he gets right into the point without hesitation, talks about pros and cons, and end the video smoothly. No "subscribe for more" or any of that bullshit.
Langlitz Leathers of Portland Oregon. They've been around for years. Old school tradition. I don't know if they're around anymore but I had a jacket custom made there about 25 years ago. There was a 6 month wait and they're not inexpensive. Oh, and I had pants and a vest made there as well.
Lewis Leathers are great too if you have the budget
I watch every video of yours, but those special times when you cover something I genuinely think of buying I click faster than my bike eats fuel.
Sweet video! I really enjoy how this gear review was done somewhat in the style of your usual bike reviews. Very intriguing with a little bit more narrative and a softer tempo. Keep up the awesome work!
Great reviews, always are!
- Video quality the best in the market!
- Host: The most honest and full of charisma I`ve had the oportunity o admire.
The bad... You guys made me make a list that goes for thousands of dollars in gear by now, and I haven`t even buy my Motorcycle yet -Ha!
Your videos were never disappointing. Kudos Ryan!
been riding most of my life and Langlitz Leather out of Portland OR is my choice. You buy it once and it last your life. If it "shrinks" you can trade it in. Each one is custom fit, no liners. If it's to cold put on a sweater. Thick, heavy and will save your skin.
PSA for USA viewers: Majority of Fieldsheer's item is on sale(crazy sale) and thanks to Ryan and f9 team I just picked up a Monaco jacket and leather pants.
Have absolutely no need for a leather jacket but will watch every second of this video. Epic as always
Ahh yess I'm so pumped for all the 2018 gear reviews. You're hands down the best moto reviewer around by a long shot. And I always love supporting a business at home. Your videos are always absolutely PACKED with information yet they're still entretaining and hilarious, and I really appreciate your honesty and integrity. As a total newb who's looking to buy his first bike next summer your videos are super helpful. And tbh watching you pushed me over the edge from not being sure i wanted to ride to having it be the only thing I can think off. Keep up the fantastic work Ryan 👍👌👌
This guys always puts out quality videos. Never a waste of my time, no click bait. Keep up the great work.
This came in just the right time. Been looking for a real motorcycle leather jacket for the upcoming colder seasons and switching to a cafe styled bike. Quality content and presentation as always. Cheers!
Another no-nonsense, well crafted video. Great job guys.
These are the most entertaining reviews and motorcycle videos...really.
Am I the only one who hits the like button before even watching it ? ( Cuz i'm damn sure his video would be awesome as usual)
No you're not :)
same here
Yep right here
Nop, you are not.
Another one here
I sold my Daytona 675 like a month ago so I don't even have a bike/bike gear anymore yet I still feel compelled to watch videos like this despite the likelihood I won't benefit from them whatsoever, top quality production.
All-star video! That fargo is bloody beautiful.
Really enjoy watching your videos, not only it's great information but also great humor. Thank you
Another good video. The photo montage at the beginning with your antics in all the different jackets is hilarious.
As someone who's getting into bikes for the first time the information is amazing!
"safe enough since god made cows."
God didn't make cows, I made them...
@@MrPAULONEAL You're giving me some "one man one horse" vibes, dude.
FortNine you've sold me on the Fieldsheer!!
I love how well your vids are made please keep making them
Nice to see Fieldsheer still offering great value and high quality. I have three of their leather jackets. The oldest (about 10 years now) held up during a track day high-side which destroyed the matching leather pants...left me bruised but only rash on my hand when my glove blew out.
Some of the best quality CZcams right there folks, also shoutout to the locals from Vancouver!!
lmao his voice is so calm and relaxing i enjoy more what i hear than what i see
I can watch your videos all day Very interesting.
Another awesome video. Good job, Ryan.
Absolutely no regrets about my Roland Sands Ronin.
Textless, good looking jacket you can wear on and off your bike.
I've put over 40,000 miles on my Fieldsheer 2 piece perforated leather jacket and pants and they have been top notch. Although heavy and maybe not the best material for the rain I feel the safest. I Treat them with Lexol once a year and they still look great. I wear an under layer in the winter that blocks the wind and keeps me warm and I wear a rain suit over them if I get caught in the rain. Nothing beats leather if you were to have a crash.
I LOVE this channel!
your videos are the best by far
Still the best motocontent out there!
I straight up love this guy.
Brilliant video!
Best leather riding jacket I've ever owned or worn is my second hand Hein Greinke I found in a junk store fits me as if it was tailor made and works pretty darn good when sliding across the asphalt has a couple small scuffs now but to me that just serves like a dent in a suit of armor its proof that it does what it's supposed to
Love this channel, love the delivery. You sound like the Carl Sagan of motorcycle wisdom. Keep up the good work dude,
Quality content as usual
Very very best teacher, you are.
Fortnine with Rev’it stuff. Yeshhhh!
As a Canadian , pleading the 5th is a little wierd : '' 5. Canada shall be divided into Four Provinces, named Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. '' ;-) good review though !
Hahaha fair. A little something for our 'murican viewers then. ~RF9
Hot damn that's about the finest amendment these star-dazzled ears ever heerd
I enjoy Ryan's satire and his videos, but when he said he pled the 5th, i thought, wait a minute, how does a Canadian plead an American ammendment? Its all good Ryan. Greetings from the Louisiana gulf south.
Canadians grow up watching a mix of Canadian and American shows and learn all kinds of expressions like that. We have a similar law that does the same thing but lingo is hard to get out of our head.
I know, I know :D
Oh yeah finally someone made a video about jackets. By someone I mean a very outstanding individual😎
Another excellent video man ! Ciao, Robert from Central America !
second and last jacket look amazing
Thank you , great video, helped me a lot!
Channel still awesome. Keep being awesome.
I'm not buying a jacket but found the reviews interesting and thought provoking, along with the regular fortnine high brow humour. Good content mate 👌
Bought the highway 21 gasser. Love this jacket.
most brilliant review of the different types of the jacket styles, and the franchises as well.
very informative, as like looking like quasimodo , lol very funny .
awsome video !!
You have one of the coolest jobs out there
Fantastic review
Haha this guy gets better and better with every video of his I watch
Great channel, Mr Ryan.
Have a 9 y.o. Scorpion Exo, perferated (sp?) jacket that has been lovingly cared for all if its life. . . because I appreciate all that leather is/can be and care for it accordingly.
With my regular cleaning/conditioning, repairs/maint. done by a proper leathercraft professional, & occasional upgrades to the armor, this jacket has 1) stayed white, 2) retained ALL of its esthetic accouterments, 3) served me well as a three-season garment (Spr/Sum/Fall) since I bought it. It fits me perfectly & has done so through multiple changes in weight, with minor alterations by the afore mentioned leathercraft pro.
Take care of your leather & it will take care of you.
I tried the Ignition out for a couple weeks. Loved the jacket overall, but could not get past how rough the cuffs are. The material around the wrists at the very end of the sleeve is equivalent to sandpaper. It rubbed my wrists raw, and I had to return an otherwise awesome jacket simply because they couldn’t wrap some sort of soft material around the cuffs.
Bought an Alpinestars GP Plus R v2 Airflow and I’ve been super happy with it.
The rev'it looks really good
Damn, you guys did it again. Your videos are amazing, captivating, quality to make others cry. Subjects I have no real interest in, there isn't a jacket you showed that comes big enough for me (the last jacket I tried was tight in the waist and when i leaned forward swallowed my head like that plant from Little Shop of Horrors) but I loved this video. Watched it twice it's so nice. I like the grey/black model for style best. Thanks!
This channel can do no wrong.
Most of these jackets cost more than I paid for my bike...
Price doesn't matter when your own personal safety is on the line.
What kind of bike did you buy, a $500 Craigslist special? 😅
Badger Scrub 💯
Down the isle of mechanics special!!!
Still cheaper then hospital bills ......
Got a BMW "San Diego" jacket for summer and begin autumn rides, it's a meshed leather and textile and works like a charm !
Best gear for warm weather. This summer was a killer here in Europe
Great video!
Perfect biking companion
Been wanting a leather jacket for a while, been looking forward to this one. Watched the 2017 one hopefully there some new comers.
This man and yammi noob are a huge reason to why I started riding today 😂
Willem Schellings these two guys are basically why I’m riding today 😂
I haven’t got a bike yet but F9 and Yammie are why I am and I’ll be very prepared to not be an idiot thanks to them.
F9 and yammie are great. I cant stand these youtubers who feel the need to show themselves weaving through traffic on the highway at 150mph. Not something a new rider should think is normal or even remotely doable for them. Yammie may have a checkered history when it comes to riding but at least he doesn't advertise it all over his channel.
Great video
I got a Icon Hypersport last year with all the pads included at half off on revilla because people weren’t buying in that color. You can get good gear cheap if you look around or wait a little bit.
Looking good Joffrey
what a unique presentation style - I found myself learning by stealth
Give us a new Textiles next. PLEASE! Keep up the great work man.
Your presentation skills are impressive and the whole video seems nsanely better compared to everything other review on the planet. In other words Brilliant as usual.. !
Try Goldtop from England, 1.4mm thick, lined, soft, with armour, in business since before Brando made the wild ones!
Awesome stuff (As usual)!
Now any chance you would ever take up reviewing full leather suits?
I swear to god, this is like Top Gear for Motorcycles!!!
Watching from ph more power 👊☺️❤️🇵🇭🏍️
Love your reviews. The wit and sarcasm sometimes bring me to your channel even if I don't want to know about the product in question. Would you also be able to review belstaff leather jackets. Especially for ventilation and protection. Thanks. Keep up the good work! Greetings from the sunny side :)
This dude is smooooth!
Amazing as always
I wear a vintage Perfecto leather jacket. It gets the job done.
Man the dry delivery of the script is gold. Does Ryan write his own stuff?
Yes.
If you don't like short jackets and you're European consider "Invictus Ulyssess". I ordered from Spain, came in a few days, looks good, relatively cheap, so far seems durable. I wear my shirt out for work so I needed something longer to cover it.
You make me want to visit Canada.
You’ve gained a new subscriber my friend.
The texting is also brilliant on this channel!
Hey guys. I love your gear reviews! Always no nonsense and straight to the point. Could you do a women's gear guide? My GF (no, her name is not Steve) wants to ride on the back and I want her in some reasonably good gear.
Thanks.
You have a fossil watch those are my favorite watches nice
I got Shima Winchester and I love it. It's a little warm in the middle of the June but that's pretty much the only month I don't wear it.
Aneesh is the god of editing
What no d-air?!?!....the best of the best and leader over all these!!!
While we are talking about leather jackets i gotta mention Sweep. A finnish brand. I think its very good for northern dudes that has to experience cold weather. Inside the jacket there is waterproof liner and after that thermal liner. 2 waterproof pockets and 2 regular, inside the jacket there is phone pocket and mp3 pocket+a hole to feed headphone wire through if someone still uses wire. Without the inside bits this is still very warm, maybe too warm for southern brothers.
"Provided you're quasi-comfortable looking like Quasimoto" BWAHAHHAAHHAHA. Good one Ryan.
My lord fortnine leather jackets are a 100/10 for you
Some more fine ass motorcycle content
This is sooo clever!
Could you please make a video about the best textile jacket of 2018.
Nice video!
