    Hey, man! The airports for such relatively small locations were actually very modern and a good size, especially compared to some of the provincial airports in the Philippines (like Bohol and Siargao). A few questions:
    1. Did you book your flights directly with Lion Air via their website?
    2. If you had regular lockable luggage would you have still had it wrapped, or was it only since you were checking in sports bags?
    3. Did you actually need to go to the transfer counter after your first flight to exchange your boarding pass or something?
    4. Was confused as Robyn seemed to have the headscarf on only randomly. Is it really needed or just recommended for ladies?

    • @BradNewton
      @BradNewton  Před 6 lety +3

      That's a pretty good observation there man...
      1. Yeah it was booked directly with the airline. I couldn't find Lion Air on skyscanner.com so just booked directly (no agency this time!)
      2. To be honest, it was my first time getting my bag wrapped haha... so i did it more for the fun of it then for the security of it. I usually just check my bag in without locks or anything....
      3. Yeah that was so weird!! I don't know why but we always had to exchange our boarding passes both going and returning.
      4. Yeah Robyn found herself getting stared at alot and we thought that if she covered up that it might deter it a bit. I think she did her best with it & tried to be respectful...

    Hello There ! Nice video . But wonder if you have done a little reasearch before heading there . You seemed quite disapointed and going through a "Cultural shock" indeed. There is no tourism there ( or a very shy one), one shouldnt go there if more comfortable in resort with people around. The population is mostly muslim , so mosques are everywhere ( starting early morning) . Otherwise , you do not need to cover your head , only if you wish to, and locals do not feel offended or disrespected if you don't. They are not used to see foreigners so of course they are curious and staring a bit too much. Wakatobi is a real heaven for Scuba divers , so I hope you've enjoyed that part . Diving makes wangi wangi worth visiting more than 2 days time . Cheers !

    From a "crowded" beach in Bali to a desolate resort in Wakatobi...😂 ... Wangi-wangi made Robyn look uneasy...

      It was completely opposite haha.... we just wanted to get away so badly :-P
      that's a good observation man... she was a bit culture shocked when we arrived..!
