I learned this song in sixth grade. The boys sang the melody (lead) and the girls sang the harmony (the tenor line here). I still remember it to this day, except that I remember the last two lines of the second stanza as "Because God made you/That's why I love you." Well done, Julien -- thank you for the memory!

This SOUND. I wish I could hear this man sing live because I am kinda in love with the sound. Such a full, well-rounded, and academic voice in all the parts! Even though there is a preferred register, all the parts have a good strong sound.
(If the phrase "academic voice" is weird it's cause that's a direct translation from Russian. I don't know what else to call it except maybe "classical vocal"? It's the rounded sound. Sorry for the oddness most of my musical training - the little bit that I have - was in Russian)

Thank you so much for the new song! I enjoyed both the song and the new format/opportunity to harmonize. At first, I sang the lead part (it seemed the easiest), but then I found myself harmonizing as I sang the more comfortable (for me) and fun tenor part.
