Yes, I'm happy they finally got this big beast up there, my money is still on SpaceX, long term.

Elon Musk is a fraud. Starship HLS will fail and set the moon mission back - from 2025 (current schedule) to 2030+

I was doubting this mission I didn't expect it to fly for some reason but I'm glad it finally did

The most impressive thing was the inflatable heat shield which is new technology surrounded by old tech from old space.
The biggest news of course is that the single, most comprehensive reason that starship could not launch is now out of the way, and watch SpaceX go!

The Raptor 2 and the structural Integrity of reentry are the biggest obstacles to Starship that have not been resolved yet unfortunately

    • @hamjudo
      @hamjudo Před rokem

@@serronserron1320 successfully landing back on Earth is optional for monthly unmanned flights. SpaceX can build enough Raptor 2 engines, Ships, and boosters to sustain monthly expendable launches.
The next ship to launch will re-enter and attempt a simulated landing above the Pacific Ocean. A successful test would have the ship hovering at the catch height at preprogrammed GPS coordinates. It will then fall in the ocean.
SpaceX engineers will then revise the TPS, thermal protection system design as needed, based on the results of that test.
While the TPS engineers are busy, the next two ships will deploy Starlink satellites and burn up on re-entry.
Meanwhile, the boosters will do similar simulated landings off the Texas coast. Only after a booster hovers in the correct place will future boosters attempt real landings in the embrace of the very strong arms of the tower at Boca Chica.
SpaceX has tested several Raptor 2 engines to destruction, so they know the strength of an engine explosion. Each Raptor 2 has blast shields, so they can continue functioning even if neighboring Raptors explode.
A fully loaded booster has a thrust to weight ratio around 2 to 1. It can get a ship to orbit even if it loses a few engines along the way.

Inflatable items seem to be a decent go to , it saves weight and space . Just like they were talking about inflatable hotel rooms which is also awesome

Artemis 1. Broca's area, or the Broca area is a region in the frontal lobe of the dominant hemisphere, usually the left, of the brain with functions linked to speech production.

I am actually very pleased NASA takes so long with everything as they put safety first before everything else. Yes all the delays suck but it's better to be safe they sorry.

One more little detail that you didn't bother mentioning about that heat Shield and Mars When we 1st start going there you're gonna have to reuse everything that's there And repurposite that he shield could be used as a roof for a structure. Considering you're gonna land several ships within meters of one another

I would not call SLS a Frankenstein rocket. A Kerbal rocket is a better description. It is exactly the type of Rocket you would build in Kerbal Space Program, that's one of the things that gives it character.

The question I am still asking is how did Apollo did it at the time when the mainframe computer is using magnetic tape at the size of a building but the speed billion time slower than your mobile phone with a storage of linear tape at size of few megabyte and communication in a one way radio like that of war movie when we saw it on TV live when technology of live telecast are still so bulky like a couple of truck and also wondering now who were the cameraman filming the wide shot and close up and cut to cut like studio MCP with a director and editor. Now I guess is the first time NASA really want to build a man rocket before China found no Flag or Step🤣🤣🤣🤣
