According to the game's lore, the Oasis of Nekhet was once a lush and verdant paradise, surrounded by towering cliffs and filled with sparkling waterfalls and serene pools. The oasis was home to a tribe of nomads known as the Nekhet, who lived in harmony with the land and worshiped the goddess Derketo.
However, as the centuries passed, the climate of the region began to change, and the once-lush oasis slowly began to wither and die. The Nekhet tribe, struggling to survive in the harsh new environment, turned to darker powers for aid. They began to practice forbidden blood magic, sacrificing captured enemies and even members of their own tribe to appease their dark gods.
As their power grew, the Nekhet became feared and reviled by the other tribes of the region. They were eventually driven from the oasis, and their blood magic was outlawed throughout the land. Today, the Oasis of Nekhet is a haunted and desolate place, filled with the ruins of the Nekhet's once-great city and the twisted remnants of their dark magic. Adventurers brave enough to venture into the ruins must be prepared to face not only the harsh desert environment but also the malevolent spirits and dark creatures that haunt the oasis.
